Wonderfully engaging set for K-1st graders
Before anything else, the one thing that stands out is the quality. The quality of the materials, design, and even packaging. Everything was nicely packed in a sizable box, but very little space is wasted, and it is quite impressive how many items were packed into the approx. 10â x 11â x 20â box. The shipping box also functions as a great storage box for when you want to put everything away (maybe for the next kid). The box opens from the top, but it has a tab in the front that slips into a slot along the front edge. As you cut along the packaging tape on the top, be careful around the front so that you do not cut through the tab. From the books to the other items everything is well made, with quality you can see and touch. Everything offers decent durability, but kids will still need to be mindful of how much force they use as some items can obviously rip or be broken off. The materials are thoughtfully designed in terms of their size, thickness, colors, and variety. The drastically different âtoysâ that are included with the reading material definitely keep children engaged. While there might be a slight learning curve, everything is described in detailed and easy-to-follow instructions. As a parent, if you play around with the items while reading the instructions, you will quickly understand how to introduce each item to kids. I also like how this is an interactive learning experience for the children and the parents. Children can learn through exploring the items on their own, but it is so much more fun when the parents can get involved. This set allows for that kind of parent-child interaction. When you first open the box, you are greeted with a timeline that states: Part 1 – Sounds to Reading, Part 2 – Words to Books, and Part 3 – Advanced Rules to Chapter Books. Since this box contains Part 2, it lists Basic Blending, Comprehensive Blending, and Storytelling as the focus areas. On the product webpage, it lists Part 1 as Pre-K to Kindergarten skills, Part 2 as Kindergarten to 1st grade skills, and Part 3 as 1st grade to 2nd grade skills. Based on this, it seems like you can choose the set based on your childâs age and skill level. This is a great set, and we really enjoyed this Lovevery The Reading Skill Set Part 2. While all of the materials were great, the favorites were the storytelling stage and mystery word decoder.

Great set for beginning readers!
I recently received this for my kid who is a big reader, and it’s been a total hit. I think it makes learning to read feel like a game which is very helpful. The games and books seem to really help with blending sounds and storytelling. My child loves the Mystery Word Decoder and the storytelling stage. The quality of the materials is impressive, and everything feels sturdy enough to last through multiple kids. After my kids go through it, I’m definitely handing it off to my friend’s kid too.Itâs a bit on the pricier side, but the quality and fun factor seem very worth it.

Well thought out and something for all ages!
We absolutely love this set! Our grandkids are in 3rd grade, a kindergartener and 2 year old and there is, to my surprise, something for each age in this set.Starting with the books. They are âreal worldâ stories and my grandkids love this, especially our 2 year old grandson. Sure, heâs not reading them on his own, but the number of times weâve read the Bug is Not Big is almost comical at this point. The ladybug that comes with it for this book is so well loved. The books themselves are well thought out for early readers. I love the practice in the beginning and the comprehension questions in the back of the book. The activities are also great! My grandkids especially love the storytelling game. Weâve played this so many times and again and all three ages are able to participate at various levels. Itâs easy to modify for each grandkid. My 5 year old granddaughter loves the story order cards and I love the emphasis on not necessarily focusing on order but focusing on whatâs logical to the child. Some of the other games are definitely more suited for experienced readers. My 3rd grade grandson does great and loves the practice. My other grandkids will grow into it and I love that we can modify this for the each of them.Lovevery does a great job of making it feel like play and I love knowing itâs quality time spent. Truly canât go wrong with these reading sets!

Great set, lots of activities
Going through the set I find many of the exercises to be great and the materials are all great quality the wood sets are great and even plastic pieces donât feel flimsy and cheap. I will say though and I had this problem with the first kit as well, is that the number of activities is a bit overwhelming, and instructions for the games are in the box instead of the guide that is in the top of the box when you open it. Wish they would have all the documentation in one place just so that I can read the purpose and the instructions side by side instead of going back and forth. Otherwise a great set, pricey but worth the quality.

This is the best!
The price tag made me leery but let me say, this is the BEST set for all things learning to read. There are so many creative games and books to work through that it always feels like you’re doing something different. The open endedness of a lot of the tools is so so so good and I love watching my little use her creativity in new ways thanks to all the story telling this encourages. I don’t have set 1 but I don’t feel like I’m missing anything by not having it.

Such an incredible tool for learning
These sets are always such a great idea in such a fun and inspiring way to teacher littles, they come with every bit of instruction that you will need and make it so easy to build an environment for your little one to learn to read, and learn words anything like that while still keeping it fun and entertaining. They are on the price your side, but they are really worth it. All of the pieces are incredibly quality and things that you could use for multiple years. They do genuinely help you teach your child how to read and learn words by keeping it fun but very informative. And also all of their sets are always so cute.
