A healthy start for your baby
I used this book to feed my baby, and I can’t say enough good things about it! I lived the stages, and it made starting solids so much less intimidating. I appreciate that the author is a dietician. I knew I wanted to make my own baby food, and this made it so much easier. The meal plans are so helpful and take the effort out of introducing allergens and new foods, and so on. The grocery lists are helpful as well. I will say that I think it made more food than my baby would go through before it gets too old in the freezer, but maybe my kid didn’t eat much as a baby. A lot of the recipes I love eating myself, like broccoli cheese muffins, salmon patties, and ginger garlic meatballs. It’s actually a go-to cookbook for several things, even though my daughter is 2 1/2 now. I think the approach of giving babies a lot of flavors worked well, because my toddler now is a great eater! She got a really great start from this book.

    LOOOVE
Love this book so much! It gives you all of the stages and what baby should be eating in those stages, it gives you a grocery list and so much more!! I was terrified to make my own baby food but this book has made it so incredibly easy! Would recommend to any mama making their own purees! And also gives recipes for kiddos as they get older 🤍

    Best Baby Food Book!
If I could give this book 10 stars I would!Let me just preface this by sharing a little backstory:6 years ago I tried Baby Led Weaning with my first child, it was all the rage and despite it being a complete nightmare and disaster I stuck to it. My kid didn’t eat anything until after 1 years old all he did was throw the food on the floor. And now he’s the pickiest eater ever! This time around I said, let me try this other method. And I’m so glad I did. This book has simple easy to prepare recipes. My baby loves all of them and is such a great eater. Can you believe she’s eating curry at 8 months old? She loves all her veggies and has eaten every recipe in this book so far from stage 1 to stage 2. It takes me a week of cooking a few recipes each day to prepare food that last up to 3 months. I love how easy this is to do and how much better it is than buying babyfood at the store that has been sitting on a shelf for months with god knows what preservatives and ingredients. If you’re starting weaning, run and get this book! It has been such a joy! Nothing better than feeding your baby fresh healthy food and seeing them eat it all up.

    Great recipes, questionable shopping lists
I really like the simple recipes in this book for slowly ramping up from first introducing solids to eating table foods with the family. However I am a bit annoyed by the “shopping list” pages that do not include ALL of the recipes, just the ones from the suggested meal plan for that stage. I wish they had noted the bonus recipes and their ingredients on the list too; for example, 7 of the 20 recipes in stage 1 are not on the shopping list, but they are some of the first recipes in the book! So be aware you do have to pay close attention if you plan to make ALL the recipes instead of just following the suggested meal plan.

    Awesome
Gift to my sister in law and she’s over the moon for this book. I kind of want to buy one for myself just because the recipes sound so awesome. Very happy! Will be buying more for others and myself in the future!

Good but can find the same stuff online
It was helpful to me as a first time mom BUT I’ve found the same stuff online with puree recipes galore on Pinterest and blogs that I kinda feel like I wasted my money on this. If you’re looking for something simple to get started it’s helpful. Didn’t love the avocado freezer recommendation in this book because it doesn’t keep in the freezer or thaw well at all. Much better fresh or mixed in with lemon juice or another ingredient so that it actually can be frozen and thawed well.

Don’t know what we’d do without this book
I’m not much of a cook so when I wanted to start our baby purée journey we searched for the perfect book and found it here. found many recipes for many different feeding levels and ways to store it so we don’t have to cook a new meal 3x a day. This book was a life saver!

I bought this for my “work wife” and her fella as a baby shower gift, being a chef i thought it would be a great chefs gift. Having flicked through this book and reading some of the recipies, i can tell its WELL worth the price. It even has clear instructions and development stages…so you know what age to start the next food journey for your baby. I dont have kids, but if i did, even tho im a chef, i would buy this in a heart beat….If you’re expecting a baby and want to ensure they eat only the best things but have no clue about cooking, this will be worth its weight in gold for you!!5⭐️

This book is fantastic! My only regret is not buying it earlier. Really enjoyed the fact that I has a shopping list and meal plan suggestions, baby enjoyed the food very much.
