Read. This. Book. Marrying Noel has stayed with me long after I read the last page. The characters are incredibly complex, yet highly relatable. Noel suffers from anxiety, and the topic is handled sensitively and realistically. My heart went out to her on several occasions. She thinks this makes her weak, when in fact, she is a strong and resilient woman. Cooperâs brother for whom he will eventually become the full-time caretaker has Fragile X syndrome. This topic is also handled sensitively and realistically. With both these issues, the story could easily become morose and a âdowner.â Instead, I was entertained and encouraged. There were laugh-out-loud moments and sweet âawwâ moments. I loved the relationship between Noel and her twin brother, Jace. Jaceâs wife, Bonnie, is also delightful and adds depth to the story. Highly recommended.
