Protect your cat’s liver, kidneys, and heart… Brush their teeth…
I use two plastic finger brushes and a little Maxi-Guard to brush my cat’s teeth at least once a week. Put the finger brushes on your index fingers. Pour a little Maxi-Guard into a small bowl. Dip the finger brushes into the bowl and get the plastic bristles wet. Get behind your cat’s head. Now insert the brushes into the left and right side of your cat’s mouth. Your cat will try to keep it’s mouth shut which is a good thing. Now gently brush your cats teeth for 10-20 seconds. Dip the brushes into the bowl a second time to get the remainder of the Maxi-Guard. Brush for another 10-20 seconds. My Tuxedo cat Eddie was 27 years old when he passed away. When I take my cats in for a visit to the vet, their teeth and gums are like new. Their blood work is always perfect. And their heart, liver, and kidneys are like new. They never have bad breath.

Not their favorite but they donât hate it
Works and lasts longer than youâd think one small bottle would. Itâs not tasteless though and the dogs donât like it – but they prefer it to the wipes.

Recommended by my vet, but not my dog’s favourite
My 10 year old dog has advanced periodontal disease and requires nightly toothpaste in addition to annual cleanings at the vet. Our vet recommended this brand by name and I’ve been using it for over a year now. I’m hopeful it helps some but he still gets a LOT of plaque, and does not like as much as other doggie toothpastes we’ve tried (his favorite is the Burt’s Bees foam). For my part, I dislike how thin the liquid is. It’s very hard to administer just a small drop so we go through it very quickly. Because of that, I have to keep this product on a regular order, only because my vet assures me it’s the one to use. I wish this had more viscosity as I feel it would stay on my dog’s teeth a little better that way. I will keep using it per my vet’s recommendation regardless.

Maxi-Guard Oral Cleansing Gel Works
Maxi-Guard Oral Cleansing Gel really works to fight plaque and tartar. My veterinarian recommended this product for my dogs and their dental check-ups have dramatically improved.

Haven’t used it for very long yet, hence just 4 stars. I can say that it’s very easy to use, and my dog does not mind the taste. This is part of her daily routine along with brushing

I use this before my dogs go to bed as part of their dental regime. I use a small syringe as I find it squirts better onto the back teeth. I also use plaque off in their meal and chicken necks or kangaroo tendons every alternate day. My two dogs have lovely teeth. I would rather do this than have them undergo anaesthesia to have their teeth cleaned by the Vet.
