Love it!
Iâve seen glitter mascaras going around on the market, but wanted one by a brand I felt I could trust. I chose this one after seeing a couple influencers show it off, and I like that this one actually has bristles on the brush to separate your lashes instead of clump them together with glitter. I love the result! Perfect for Christmas coming up, the glitter is subtle yet visible, and I donât see the glitter constantly sparkling in my line of sight when I blink/look around, which I worried about when reading about these mascaras.My only tip is to buy a waterproof mascara to wear under the glitter mascara, as my regular mascara came off on the glitter wand. I donât care, since I only wear black mascara, but if you use other colored mascaras, you may have a mix of colors left on your glitter wand if they are not waterproof. I would buy this again! (:

Gorgeous shimmer
The product photos for this made me think the glitter would be chunky, but it’s a gorgeous, shimmery cream sort of glitter. The consistency is thin which makes it perfect for layering over a darker mascara and easy for application.I was SO excited when I first put it on. In just a couple swipes my lashes looked so shimmery, it is such a cool effect. However, there are some drawbacks.Sometimes, the way the light catches the glitter makes it look like lint on your lashes at first glance. My eyes are heavily hooded, so I also got a lot of transfer on my lids almost immediately (but to be fair, it was quite elegant looking on the lids with just a subtle sparse shimmer). But the biggest disappointment for me was the fallout I experienced throughout the day. By the end of the day, I had little flecks of shimmer all under my eyes.Now, full disclosure, I know next to nothing about makeup application. I usually just use a lightweight lip stain and a swipe of waterproof mascara. So there may be an easy fix for the fallout problem that I’m just not aware of. Regardless, the shimmer is gorgeous. I think it would look really pretty on the hair too for a cool shimmery look.

Fun Mascara
To be honest, I thought this was regular mascara when I ordered it. I was surprised to find it was all glitter! I tried to put it on after I’d put on regular black mascara, but it didn’t stick so well once the black mascara was dry. I tried using it all by itself, and the brush works well to separate lashes, but you end up with no ‘mascara’ look as the eyelashes are not as defined as they would be with darker mascara. I think that this is geared towards younger girls experimenting with makeup. Personally, I would prefer that the glitter be added to a regular, dark color.

Strictly for festive looks
This is a glitter mascara that’s in a clear base so you can put it on your eyelashes alone (would not recommend) or put it over black mascara to give your lashes a bit of a shimmer. It works well in that regard but almost too well in that it makes your lashes look almost white which I don’t personally find to be an attractive look. Maybe the key is to use a very light touch.I don’t see this being something I would get much use out of– maybe over the holidays for an extra festive look– but I’m a little concerned about how it would photograph on my eyelashes. It could go space alien very quickly IMO.This is really a novelty item– if you want a little extra shimmer on your lashes you might like it, but it’s definitely not going to be for everyone– or most.

They really do look like diamonds on your eyes
This is a beautiful glitter mascara. So far I havenât noticed any glitter getting into my eyes or spreading around my eye lids. The sparkle produced is brilliant and does the product name justice. I have not used it stand alone. I put my regular mascara on, let it dry, then layer the glitter on top. Itâs perfect for the upcoming holidays!

Sky high is definitely a misnomer with this particular mascara. It seriously looked like eye goobers. It didn’t make my lashes look longer or fuller. The glitter was barely noticable until it all fell off my lashes to the skin under my eyes. Total disappointment.

Maybelline glitter mascara
When I ordered this I thought I was ordering your typical dark mascara with glitter in it. When I opened it I saw that it is more like a clear gel with glitter in it. I actually like that better. You can apply your regular mascara and then use the glitter mascara to add sparkle to your brows or lashes. Not being mixed in with your mascara allows you to add as much or as little sparkle as you like. This would make a great gift for anyone that enjoys makeup to add to their collection.

Fun addition to your routine
I tried a few times to get a picture, and I just couldn’t get a good one. In person, it looked so cool! I currently use Physicians Formula Mascara, I did 2 coats like normal. Then I topped just the ends of my lashes (more heavily on the outer corners) with the Diamond effect mascara. It added such a nice sparkle and seemed to make the eye look a bit bigger and brighter. I have blonde lashes, but I am still tempted to use JUST the Diamond effect mascara just to see how it goes. I did not notice any fallout as the day progressed either. And it removed with my normal care.
