Works great for my skin that is changing as I grow older. Great coverage, but still feels and looks light and natural.
I am loving this Maybelline New York Instant Age Rewind Eraser Treatment Makeup SO much!!I have used the Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles in the Brightener shade for a long time. It is probably the only reason any foundation I have used for the past few years has worked at all. I have dry skin, and I’m growing older. I’m going through a stage where the makeup that always worked for me just doesn’t work anymore. Mineral makeup was one of my favorites for fast application, but it is just too dry for my skin. I also liked high quality cream compacts. Most of the expensive foundations I have tried that are designed for older skin feel too heavy, like a mask, and rub off on my clothes. They just gave me too much of a made up look, instead of a natural look.I did a lot of research on my skin type and found that Covergirl CgSmoother, an inexpensive hydrating liquid makeup, had a great reputation. So that is what I have been using recently, in shade 720 Creamy Natural. It works very good!! I can definitely see what the fuss is about. I do have to build it up a little to get the coverage I need, and being a liquid, it is a little bit of a hassle to apply. I have rarely used liquid foundation. I’ve used mostly creams with a sponge, or mineral powders with a brush. I have been learning to work with the liquid and a sponge, and that is better. It reminds me of a Tinted Moisturizer or BB Cream with a little more coverage.BUT when I saw this Instant Age Rewind Foundation on Amazon I was pretty excited! Knowing how well the concealer worked for me, I had high hopes. Reading the reviews made me feel like it might really be awesome.I am so glad I found it and tried it. The price is great for a foundation that works so well on older skin. I use the attached sponge to apply the makeup to my face, then I use a large Kabuki brush to smooth and blend it. With just a single application (no building necessary) this foundation gives me a near flawless finish that is light, looks natural, and feels natural. I am pretty fair skinned, but I like for my foundation to have a bit of color to it. I chose the 200 Creamy Natural, and it is working great.I am still using my Instant Age Rewind Concealer Brightener, too. I use it after the foundation to conceal and highlight. I apply it the same way as the foundation. I use the attached sponge to put the concealer where I want it on my face, then I use a large Kabuki brush to smooth and blend it in with my foundation. My skin seems to stay hydrated, but not oily, for several hours after applying this concealer and foundation. It doesn’t settle in lines or make me look too made up. I love that with the sponge applicator I don’t ever have to touch it with my hands!! Application is super easy, and only takes a few seconds.I highly recommend it for those like me who might be searching for something that works for skin that is changing because we are getting a little older.

Don’t twist the bottle too much
Update: I got the second bottle and it has to be that my first bottle was bunk. The second bottle has a much nicer coverage, yet still lightweight so it doesn’t feel like a heavy finish on my skin. This time, no primer, just moisturizer before, foundation next. I don’t need primer. It hid my wrinkles not invisibly but more of minimizing them. Im okay with that. The large poors I shared that I have, those, disappeared after applying setting powder on my foundation base. Also the color match was much better with this bottle so it didn’t need any heavy blending anywhere. It did settle into the laugh lines and crows feet around my eyes and needed to be smoothed out with a makeup sponge but other than that, the sponge tip makes for a solid quick even application. Im actually glad I decided to try another bottle because I now have found my inexpensive go to foundation apart from my Clinique!1st review: So I saw a commercial about this foundation and I thought I would try it on my face. I have an extremely hard time finding any foundation that 1. Matches my skin 2. Doesn’t settle into my wrinkles and large pots 3. Lasts all day long with very little touch ups except for Clinique. I can’t afford the sixty something dollars Clinique’s foundation costs right now so I’ve been in search of one that fits the bill of Clinique but much less expensive. The first bottle I bought was a great medium coverage and since I like a fuller coverage, I let the first application dry and then applied a little more. It worked well for the coverage I was looking for without the heavy feeling that I have found with other brands. However, the color match was too light. I have mouses blonde hair and a neutral pink undertone. I was able to use a medium shade of setting powder to bring it up a shade. That was the 118. I ended up giving that to my daughter as it fit her neutral skin tone better. But she’s 23 and perfect skin!! 🤣 I opted for the 130 the second time around because what I had found by wearing the 118 is that it filled my lines and pores rather than settled. It created a more finished look. That wasn’t the case with the 130. It has to be that I just got a batch that wasn’t as nice as the first. The 130 dropped into every flaw I have in my face within 2 hours of application. It is the same exact formula as far as the first one just different color. I decided to try primer and see how that went. Big mistake!! Not only did it still drop into my facial inequities, but it also became a patchwork mess that I ended up having to just wash off. I had just bought the bottle and it occurred to me that it could have just been the way the primer and foundation reacted together so I tried another primer underneath. Same thing happened. I love the way the 130 matches my skin tone, and the ease of which it applies with the sponge tip..(btw don’t twist up on it too much, it has a little delay in getting to the sponge area and will go on like a mud mask rather than foundation) so thinking that maybe I got an old batch that started to breakdown on the shelf, I ordered a new bottle of the 130. The reviews are fairly mixed, and I really don’t want it to not work especially since it is such a nice color match. So I’ll try the new one and come back with an update. I will say this, I have acne scars and just recently lost a lot of weight and it shows in my face a lot. If you’re over 50 with fewer lines and smaller plots, this will definitely give you a nice smooth finished look so I definitely recommend you try it. If you’re like me, very visible flaws, the coverage will have to be a personal thing. It’s hard for anything to hold up to the finish I get with my expensive brand but when I try this next bottle to rule out getting a bad bottle last, I’ll come back for an update😊

    Medium Coverage, Dewy Natural Finish
Acts like moisturizer, primer and foundation all in one quick and easy application. A lifesaver on days when I’m running late. After smoothing on with the built-in sponge applicator you can use your fingers or a brush or sponge to blend. Because it has a dewy finish I like to set it with a very light dusting of translucent powder and a fluffy brush. I have used this for years, this is my third or forth bottle. I do have other foundations and a cc cream that I also use, depending on the occasion, but this is a wonderful everyday foundation. It does not settle into lines or make me look old like some foundations can do. I’m 66 so that is important to me, I want any foundation to make me look better, not worse. Pairs well with the matching Maybelline Magic Eraser cover cream.

    Ok
This feels really good on my skin. The color is a little bit orange but not too bad. Unfortunately it doesn’t cover any of my dark spots on my face. And all of my fine lines still are very visible. If I use this with my other foundation I just mix them together then it covers a little. I gave it 3 stars because it feels so nice on my skin. Not going to purchase again
