Best thermometer ever!
I had a Medline thermometer identical to this one that I bought 17 years ago, for $6.00, I might add. Seriously, it is just now on its last leg, so to speak. I just bought this one, also for $6.00, and I have no doubt it will last just as long. Best thermometer on the market! This new one works great, no problems whatsoever. I couldn’t believe the price was still the same and very affordable.
Most doctors’ offices use those stupid ones they just rake across your forehead. If you sit in their office long enough in the air-conditioning, then your skin is cooled off enough so that it will probably register no temp at all. Take this one with you to the medical office and use it instead. It’s much more accurate than what the medical assistants use, and they won’t object to
you using your own thermometer. I’m a retired nurse and this one by Medline is the best. You will definitely get your money’s worth and it’s extremely accurate.

GREAT
Works perfectly. Great price.

Does itâs job, but a bit annoying
Every time you turn it on, it gives a read out of the most recent temperature taken and then it also tells the ânormal temperatureâ (98.6). Every time. It takes a while for each reading to clear and the reading are more or less unnecessary.
That being said, it seems to provide consistent and accurate readings fairly quickly and is simple to use and clean.

Works well.
No issues with the thermometer. It does what it is supposed to do.

I tested at doc’s office & it’s accurate
I have cool doctor. Any time I buy home medical equipment that he has in his office I take my purchase to his office & check against his. My temp recorded exactly the same on this thermometer as his. I think that’s pretty good recommendation

2nd Thermometer with issues
This is my 2nd of the exact same thermometer. I contacted Medline directly regarding the issues with the first one. They provided a return label, but said it was out of warranty because of the lot number (not my fault that Amazon ships old items). The thermometer had no sound at all; the top just would NOT come off (for later removal to replace the battery).
This 2nd one, I can remove the top, but it still has no sound to it. So I’ll just give it away and find another (NOT Medline).
The Customer Service Rep handling my case was lousy, non-responsive to return emails. It wasn’t until I called CS and talked with another Rep who gave my message to my original Rep.
I believe they are more geared towards organizations, not individual customers. Bad form.

Not Very Accurate
This is a good thermometer for getting a baseline temperature. It fluctuates between about one degree greater and one degree less than one’s true temperature. This served our purposes for gauging temperatures above 100 degrees.
