I love this book and have read it cover to cover several times over. Have invested in many of the dried herbs it refers to as well as planted some of the necessary healing herbs used in the remedies.If you are a person interested in alternative medicinal remedies, then this is the book for you. By far this is the best purchase I have ever made regarding that topic. Have also purchased about 8 additional copies as gifts to friends and spoke to a number of herbalist who currently already have it. I cannot convey how impressed I am with the information written in it. Considering that the age of promise from antibiotic use in the pharmaceutical industry is fast approaching a close, the alternative may be the answer for many. Herbs were used before antibiotics and we may need to resort to them again. Antibiotics were the wonder drug of the century and very effective, however we have built up an immunity to them through overuse and abuse as well as the use of antibiotics in the food chain. I myself no longer have an effective response to most doctor prescribed antibiotics, my only recourse is to find my own alternative treatment. The book in no way shape or form says that the “old time” medicinal methods are the answers to a medical treatment over a doctors advice. Always consult your physician. Easy read and informational, simplified and organized. Cannot recommend it enough.

It is a good educational book but don’t assume you will live 700 years as they did. lol. But it just show how we are getting away from the simple easy ingredients to compare for example, todays 50 ingredients found in our bread and lots of it is not good.

Lots of great Natural Remedies info
This book is sort of a compilation of natural remedies taken from other similar books, with their permission of course, such as Secrets of The Chineese Herbalists, Miracle Medicine Foods, Miracle Medicine Herbs and a number of others, including some by John Heinerman. So you’re getting a lot of great information from many books with out having to buy them all. Included are references to scientific studies when appropriate, written in an easy to understand style, when remedies are discussed along with many personal testimonials, which I always enjoy reading. Many if not all of the foods and herbs discussed are indeed mentioned in the Bible with numerous scriptures given where they are. There is an excellent index in the back which can be used to look up a condition and see what foods, herbs etc. can be beneficial for it or you can look up a food or herb and see a list of conditions they can be used for. This is very handy. A whole host of conditions are covered from arthrits, cancer, high blood pressure/cholestrol, ulcers, infections and many more too numerous to mention. If you are in to natural remedies this book belongs in your library.

Very well researched information on medical solutions from times past that are mentioned in Bible. I’ve learned that during the times of the Old and New Testaments – there was a surprising amount of healing knowledge used by the peoples of these regions. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in Natural Herbal medicines as a complimenting source of healing options. And Yes – I am using some of the medications mentioned – and so far they are helping.

I absolutely LOVE this book! I am all about going the all natural route and staying as close to God’s design as much as possible! This book was everything I expected and MORE. It has an awesome guide to sprouting at the end, which I am definitely going to be trying out. It has educated me and enlightened me in so many ways. I have used it to help with psoriasis for my son and my hubby’s seasonal allergies! Who knew that aloe vera juice would do the trick along with garlic and parsley to help my hubby get through his allergy season so much better than normal (he is usually miserable for about 3 months of the year from August – October).

Love the book! It has helped me to know what I should and not be taking. Started my hubby (who has Alzheimer’s) on rosemary capsules. Believing they will help stave off affects of the ALZ for longer time.My only con is that book is trying to convince us that they grew Hawthorn apples in Jerusalem. Not so! It was myrrh that was used for the ‘crown of thorns’,only makes sense that if Jesus was given myrrh when he was a baby and it was referenced for healing and for the spices when he died, wouldn’t you think it would have also been for the ‘crown’? Just saying my opinion.

I haven’t finished reading this great book, quite yet. I’ve been thinking of my health issues and turning to the relevant pages. It’s very thought provoking. Whether you believe in God and Jesus or that our earth has growing in it, all the natural ingredients to heal ourselves, or whatever reasons and explanations you have for cures and healing from plants, this book is very very interesting. It doesn’t focus on the bible that much, just the occasional quote. It has testimony from certain people about their health, illness and plants that seem to have helped or cured.A lot of the things I haven’t heard of. Some I easily recognize, like lavender, sage, cabbage, herbs and spices, mortar and pestle to grind ingredients. It reminds me of using nature’s food, herbs, spices and plants. It has some instructions on how to make some things. It seems very logical in some ways. I found it very interesting and thought provoking. These days we have to be so careful about allergies and allergic reactions, some plants in nature are poisonous though. I’d recommend it as a thought provoking read. I think talking and getting more advice from your gp or specialist or natures food and plant specialists could be the first and safest route.
