What a find!!!
So – I will start off by saying I get very pricey hair extensions installed (hand tied/high quality hair) and finding something that moisturizes hair that is not getting the natural oils from you is hard. Also, putting the wrong products on hair extensions can be a nightmare because they are specially coated for longevity, etc. and you don’t want a product that will strip them or a product that will be too heavy and leave residue/product build up behind.That being said, my natural hair is intertwined with the extensions and I would battle with finding something that doesn’t weigh my natural hair down as well as moisturizing and detangling enough for both the extensions and my natural hair. I stumbled across this after searching for a “curl” conditioner (aka extra moisture/deep conditioning) and figured for the price, considering I had tried numerous salon products ($$$) that weren’t meeting the cut, I purchased the shampoo and conditioner and anxiously awaited their arrival.The first time I washed and conditioned (including brushing the conditioner through my hair with a wet brush, letting it sit for about 5 minutes and then rinsing) and I thought “… there’s no way) because in the shower my hair felt incredibly soft and silky; I thought this was either just because of the water, or it was going to be so terrible once I started to try drying it.That being said, I wrapped it up in my hair wrap to let it dry for a bit and when it came time to blow dry the remaining bit, I sprayed one or two pumps of my detangler that I regularly use and went at it.MY. HAIR. IS. SO. SOFT!!!Will be a continued purchaser of this product for sure – no bad ingredients, not damaging to my hair, doesn’t weigh it down, etc. and you get the clean hair without the stripping! I am two days after washing as well and still feel clean and light and soft – I am sold and I have done everything from Alterna to Biolage to Briogeo to Dermorganic and then some 50 others. This stuff is totally worth it!

Super concentrated and hydrating!
I really like this shampoo and conditioner, they leave my hair feeling clean and moisture. The scent is really light and I know for some people this might not be good, but I actually love it! Because my hair is really curly, I use different products to style it, so I prefer if my shampoo and conditioner have a soft barely there scent so it won’t bee too much when mixed with other products. Also, although these products are very rich your hair will not feel greasy or heavy like some other curly hair products.

Awesome Product!
I have very soft waves, but my hair was dry and my waves were just a frizzy mess. The problem was made worse by the fact that I needed to constantly blow dry or straighten my hair in order for it to look decent. After one use of Silk18 shampoo and conditioner, I noticed a slight difference, but did not realize I didn’t follow the directions properly…oops! The next time I used it, I left the shampoo on for the suggested time and the conditioner on for the maximum of ten minutes and OH. MY. what a difference! My hair was glossy shiny, bouncy, and my waves had made their glorious comeback. I used it religiously for about a month, and have now started using it as a treatment about twice a month to maintain my hair’s condition. It has a soft, vanilla scent that is so pretty, too!

Giving it time
I’ve been washing and conditioning my hair with the shampoo and conditioner combo and so far no DRAMATIC results. They are most certainly better for my hair than your typical brands like Dove or Garnier Fructis (which are my usual go-to brands), but I don’t think this products is as wonderful and spectacular as a lot of the reviews make it out to be. But maybe that’s just my hair type- everyone’s experience with it will probably be different! Usually when my hair just air dries, it is poofy and wavy, and I will say that with this product my hair is more weighted down and its just sorta wavy without the poof. Even though air-dried my hair is wavy, if I take a minute after towel drying my hair to use my hands and fingers to scrunch the ends, I can get a great curl going (I used to have much curlier hair as a child but this technique brings them out a little bit). In the summer the curls can look really frizzy and messy, and just like with my waves, these products definitely weigh my hair down a bit and prevent the poof and frizz better. When I’ve straightened my hair after washing and conditioning with these, it does feel smoother and healthier than before too. I haven’t had any other major changes in my hair other than reduced frizziness though. It doesn’t feel significantly healthier, but I’ve only been using it for a week, so perhaps there will be long-term results up the road. I will update if there are any other significant changes!
