Convenient and all-inclusive
This kit conveniently provided all of the items I needed to clean and filet the fish we caught after a recent fishing expedition.The scaler took a bit of getting used to, but then worked well. The knife is very sharp, and comes with a protective scabbard. Since the knife was brand new, I have not had an opportunity to try out the blade sharpener yet.The cut-resistant gloves are good to have, although remember that no gloves are 100% cut-proof. You CAN still get cut! I would recommend placing disposable rubber gloves over these gloves, to make clean-up that much easier. Otherwise, you have to wash the gloves thoroughly, to get rid of the fish smell.I would recommend this item.

Quality cleaning kit that has what you need to clean fish
This kit comes with the mat, knife, gloves, 2-stage sharpener, and a scaler. The gloves, sharpener, and scaler are pretty run of the mill items.The mat though is made of heavy rubber that won’t slide around on you. It’s also easy to clean and rolls up when you’re ready to store.The knife appears to reasonably hold an edge while being flexible enough to make for a good fillet knife.If you or someone you know needs a new knife/mat, then this would be a good choice.

Good starter
This is a pretty good starter kit. Knife is pretty sharp and cut up the fish pretty quick. I always if it a sharpen right before use just in case. Handle feels comfortable and gives it a good grip.Measurements on the cutting board are accurate as well.I did not use the gloves but I am sure other folks might find them useful .Would recommend.

Very Cool Kit!
This is a very nice little kit for preparing fish. The mat is a nice thick rubber mat so it’s not gonna slip around on you. The gloves are nice, but I have not tested them to see if they are cut proof. The scaler is good, but it’s a basic fish scaler, let’s be honest. Now the knife. Very, very sharp which I would expect with a fish prep kit like this. It indeed is quite sharp. It also comes with a sharpener but I’m not a fan of that style sharpener.All in all this is actually a really nice kit for someone getting started with fishing or fish prep.

All you need to clean a fish kit. Knife, pad, gloves and much more make it easy to filet up your catch and prep for your fish meal. Easy to use and clean and works as good as any other product. Well priced and ready out of the box.

Another winner from Mossy Oak
Although this is a review of a free product, I give you my word that my reviews will always be unbiased and truthful.My old Buck filet knife has been getting long int he tooth, and I was looking for a replacement when I came across this set from Mossy Oak. The set arrived well packaged and complete. Everything shown was included. The mat is great, and will be a welcome addition to my cleaning station. Filet knives are a a hit and miss with me, which is why I’ve stuck with my old Buck for so long. The knife in this set is great. Nice long slender blade, just enough flex, and razor sharp. It feels stiff enough to hold a nice edge, without being too stiff. It comes with a 2-stage sharpener, a scaler, and a pair of cut resistant gloves, that feel like quality gloves. I will be adding all of these to my bait/fish cleaning station on my boat for sure!

Completely Adequate Fish Cleaning Set.
It will do the job and comes in a kit. All the items you need to take a fish from the line to pan. The scaler and the sharpener are nice additions unless you already have those things. The mat is very useful and the gloves might come in really handy, but don’t let yourself get careless with the blade.The steel is not the best, but it i perfectly capable of cleaning a fish or cutting a careless fisherman.The blade sharpened quickly so it may not hold an edge, but for the work it is intended in will be good.If you want a fish cleaning kit, I would recommend this one.d
