Like the fragrance
Like the product. Very manly fragrance that lingers around for a while. It will have a greasy waxing feeling when applying too much. To apply. Scrape a small amount out, placing in the Palm of your hand and agitate it whith the finger tips of your other hand until it gets soft enough to apply to your face. Remember little goes a long way.

My feelings are ambiguous about this product
I liked the smell. It’s not overpowering, and lasts a reasonable amount of time. At the same time, I have noticed the aroma hours later, but it was very faint. So, this is a plus.Now, what I don’t like. I’m sorry, but this is basically scented bees wax. It comes in a semi-solid state. You take some and rub it in the palm of your hand until it liquifies. Then you rub it on your face. I found that it doesn’t spread evenly, unless you rub it and keep rubbing it on your cheek. In other words, you need to keep rubbing it to keep it liquified, otherwise, it turns back into bees wax. It felt uncomfortable on my face, making it feel kind of stiff. It also took a long time to soak into my skin, although I may have used too much the first time. The second time I used it, however, with a lighter application, it still felt stiff and took a long time to soak in. Hours later, I could still feel it as a drag on my finger when I ran my finger across my cheek.So, while I liked the scent, I think I will probably throw the remainder out. Needless to say, I can’t in all good conscience recommend this product.The company contacted me and offered a refund. I engaged in several emails with them. They are very courteous and try real hard to satisfy their customers. So, while I canât recommend this product, this company has many other excellent products that I do recommend. They are a small company, help them out.

Unlike any shave balm I’ve used – not recommended
I’m not sure how to use this product. I opened the jar and the inside looks like a wax candle without the wick. You can’t get any of the product onto your fingers and then to your face. The scent is nice. However, the product is not smooth and creamy so you can’t apply it. I would not recommend this product.

It’s all about the scent
From the moment I opened this little jar of balm, I did not want to let it out of reach of my nose. Which is why I got it. I mean who wouldn’t want their husband to smell like bourbon, Cypress, and tobacco? Yes please, I do, I do!Husband has just started shaving his head, and the skin needed a little calming. After a bit of experimentation we find that a little bit goes a long way, so long as you give it good finger friction and get it warmed up well to make it easier to apply.This concoction is chock full of emollients so don’t expect your skin to absorb it readily. After an hour or two it was mostly absorbed but sadly that mysteriously intriguing fragrance had dissipated. Oh woe is me, that hubby can’t smell like that forever and ever.This is a very good post shave balm. It smells perfectly wonderful and soothes the skin which is exactly what it is meant to do. I think I need to purchase another one for myself so that I can just leave it open on the coffee table to enjoy.
