Progress tracker is a great motivator!
My son doesn’t like to sit down to do workbooks. I like that this has numbered exercises (101) and a progress tracker that has 101 stars corresponding to the activity at the front of the book. After each exercise, we go to the front of the book and color in the star that corresponds with the numbered activity. It is a great motivator for my little guy! Activities are fun and he goes through approx. 5 activities in one sitting.

We do 2 pages a day in all the this brand of book for Kindergarden. You can get these cheaper here than on the publishers web site. A little challenging as he is just learning to read and write full sentences with proper pronunciation.

Great if you help out
I really like doing this workbook with my son. One of the best features is the list of activities by number in the front. This gives us a chance to celebrate each completed activity and see our progress through the workbook. I used stickers that I already had for my son to mark his progress but you could use a stamp or just color/ draw a check if that works for you. I also really like the colors and pictures. These made learning fun. The level of difficulty with some of the activities is a bit confusing though. Most of the activities are great but there are a few that I donât understand how any kid just starting to learn phonics could do on their own. For example, how could a child spell âprincessâ in a crossword when the phonics âCâ page just did the hard C sound? It was especially weird since the purpose of the page was to practice the âPRâ blend. I had to tell my son what letters to write for that activity. Overall, I would recommend this book for a pre-reader starting to learn phonics. I just would recommend that you work with your child as some of the activities will be too difficult for a child who is benefiting from the letter sounds practice in the first half if the book.

Finally found the perfect workbook for my 3 year old!
I have tried so many different workbooks but nothing seems to hold my 3.5 year olds attention and either doesnât challenge her enough or is too much for her so she is over it. This workbook is seriously perfect!! We had so much fun doing it together and she asks to do more and more almost daily. I canât recommend it enough.. I also love that it gets harder as you progress through the book. I plan to order these as gifts now.
