Good Calcium Supplement
I’ve been taking these daily for a year or two. Most days of the week I take one capsule (half the recommended dose), and on 1 to 3 days per week I take the full dose (2 capsules). I’ve always taken them with breakfast so I don’t know if they would make me nauseous on an empty stomach like some people have experienced. I’m in my 50s and menopausal, and noticed my nails are a lot stronger! I’ve read research is inconclusive as to if calcium helps your nails (and hair), but for me it’s definitely helped. Also I don’t have any trouble swallowing these. The gelatin/glycerin coating is nice and smooth when taken with water, or any other liquid. Yes they’re bigger than many other types of pills, but that’s typical for a lot of supplements.
On a side note – these pills used to be white. My latest order arrived and they’re now orange. A small label on the bottle says new color but same formula, so I hope they work the same as always. Personally I find the new color a little off-putting. When I think “calcium” I think white, definitely not traffic cone orange.
