love this iron
I dropped the original one I bought too many times and it shattered on the floor. I loved it so much I bought it again. Smooth plates make the hair slide through easily and keep the heat ditributed evenly. Easy to travel with but i bought another one anyway to keep at my vacation home.

Stopped working after 4 months – Don’t waste your money!!
Update: After reaching out to Paul Mitchell directly (because Amazon could not help me, and actually gave me the wrong contact information for Paul Mitchell, they gave me a Dr’s Office phone number, that was embarrassing) I emailed them and let them know the issue, and they said they would be sending me a new one for free, and I would be sending me old one back. I will update the review to 5 stars, once I receive the actual flat iron.I had this exact same flat iron, which is what made me purchase it again. I absolutely loved the first one, and it lasted 10 years. I purchased the same exact one less than 4 months ago, and one side of the flat iron has stopped getting hot, so the entire flat iron will only get to less than 100 degrees and cannot be used. I can’t use it because only one side is getting hot. For the amount of money and this well-known brand, I seriously expected better, especially since my last one I was able to use for over a decade.

So disappointing
My hair stylist uses one daily and loves it. So I finally ordered one and was so excited to get it. Once I plugged it in and it heated up started to use it and it makes a sizzling sound, pulls my hair out and feels like it is not made well and will twist breaking the entire thing. The plates should line up when your using it instead of twisting. This one is going back, I will try a replacement and if it’s not any better I will get a refund.
