My NEW Favorite Shoe
First off, I’m a shoe nerd. I admit it. Growing up my Dad would buy us only ððð cheapest shoes he could find. They were so bad that we’d wear them out in a couple of months and I should be honest, I am not hard on my shoes, either (my older brother was a different story). Didn’t make a difference. My Dad would rather buy us a pair of new shoes for $20 every couple months rather than spend $35 on ONE pair that would last at least a year (if not more). As a result, when I finally got a job and could buy my own, I had quite a collection. A habit I continue to this day. With that in mind, within the last year I’ve purchased 2 other pairs of New Balance trail running shoes which were (at that time) the most comfortable pairs of shoes I had ever purchased. Since then I bought a pair of Brooks Ghost Max which replaced those as the most comfortable pair of shoes I had ever owned. The Fresh Foam X have now replaced (by a slim margin) my Brooks for sheer comfort. I don’t really run, but I DO an awful lot of hiking and walking. So strict comfort is pretty important to me. These shoes are simply brilliant in how comfortable they are. The previously mentioned New Balance Trail runners were, for a lack of a better term, had almost too much cushion. I know, how can a shoe have TOO much cushion? Well, those do…at least for me. For instance, I would never wear them for weight training, especially doing the dead lift. The cushion is SO pronounced that I’d be worried they could pull me off balance a little too easily. But then again, they aren’t designed for weight lifting, so just keep that in mind. The Foam X shoes are a perfect balance between great cushion and sheer comfort. It must be hard for companies to achieve that balance without going too far but Kudo’s to NB for pulling it off. The soles aren’t as durable as the trail runners perhaps, but oh man are they a joy to wear. Again, since I don’t run I cannot speak to how stable they’d be at doing any long/short distance running but man am I happy with mine.Overall ððð most comfortable shoes I own (and I own a LOT). I am VERY satisfied with my purchase.

Nice, cushy daily trainer
Feels plush underfoot. Very roomy, with nice, roomy toebox for my 2E feet. Very stable with wide platform. I would advise ordering true to size. I ordered a half size up and they’re a little too long. Not a speed shoe by any means, but the rocker enables me to pick-up the pace if I choose. My biggest complaint is the tongue. It is not gusseted, which normally is no big deal for me, but no matter how I lace the shoe, the tongue slips, and it’s very annoying. It may be because the shoe is a little too large. Otherwise, I’m enjoying the More V 4 for slow recovery days and long, easy runs. The verdict is still out on durability, however.

Not for flat feet
I can’t knock the product itself but caused a lot of ankle pain for me. I have flat feet, fallen arches, whatever you want to call it. I overpronate quite a bit given this issue. I’ve two pair of 1080 v12s and a pair of hierro 7s that I love. I tried to like these and contemplated keeping them in the first place until they started to really hurt my feet/ankles. They are very soft and made me feel a bit clumsy, like walking on squishy platforms. I planned to look past this as I’m sure it would improve as I broke them in and smashed down the foam some. However after a few weeks of light use, my good ankle began to hurt quite a lot. I assume all the cushion allows your foot to flex inward even more straining the ligaments that support your arch. These even felt like they left your foot in a back and outward position that would help prevent this but it didn’t. Just too soft. Great shoe if you have normal feet and want a ton of cushion but not a wise choice for flat footers in my opinion. Returned.

Mega comfy, great for walking around
Solid shoe that just feels great. If you prefer a soft cushion, I highly recommend this shoe, I think it even beats out HOKA in âsoftnessâ – The only thing I wish it had was a more firm ankle-back so that the back doesnât fold in when I insert my foot.

Very comfortable. Pressure off ball of foot.
I have been struggling with a wound on the ball of my foot for almost 6 years. I have had special orthotics, worn a boot and seen several podiatrists who all wanted to do some sort of different surgery. I bought these shoes after seeing a you tube video about relieving pressure on your forefoot for runners. I thought maybe it would help me. It really has. My wound is the best it has been and seems to finally be closing. The shoes fit true to size. I got wide ones and they are very comfortable in the toe box. They are extremely light weight. When the package arrived I wondered if it actually had shoe inside. There is a slight learning curve if you are not used to the way these shoes redistribute your weight. At first it feels like youâre falling backwards a bit. That subsides quickly. And finally, I think they look great though my family was quick to call them âDadâ shoes. Well I am a Dad, so maybe itâs not that bad. I certainly donât think they look like the older stereotypical new balance that men would wear with tube socks and shorts. Overall Iâm super happy and on the hunt for a pair of hikers with similar geometry.

Comfortable? Very. Huge? YES
I wear a size 15. By the time you get the Fresh Foam on these bad boys, you are looking at one heck of a big pair of shoes. Super comfortable, SUPER cushy, probably fantastic for running but I never tried. Just couldn’t get over the aesthetics. I returned mine

Unfortunately, I found these shoes to be quite limited in their use. They are specifically designed for running, but even in this context, they have significant drawbacks. The shoes feature a rockered sole, which can be hazardous on uneven surfaces or stairs. This design makes them less versatile and potentially dangerous in certain environments. When it comes to cushioning, these shoes offer an exceptionally soft and cloud-like feel. While this may sound appealing, it requires your body to adapt to the new sensation, which can be challenging if you switch between these and standard running shoes. The extreme cushioning makes it difficult to maintain consistency in your running form.I would not recommend these shoes for treadmill use either, as they seem best suited for running tracks. Overall, while they have their merits for specific running conditions, their limitations and safety concerns make them a less than ideal choice for many runners.
