Excellent reading material for work!!
I follow the author on instagram and was almost instantly amazed at her source content. When I found out she was releasing a book I HAD to get a copy. I take this book to work to read in my downtime and it is amazing, handfuls of pathology cases with mounds of informational content that has me interested in reading again. Itâs been years since I felt the urge to pick up a book for leisure due to the amount of required reading from school so I must put a thanks out for rekindling my passion for knowledge. My coworkers love to take a few glances at the included imagery and my first aid trainee employees are all becoming more invested in the medical field as a whole from reading and hearing some of the included stories. 100% would recommend.

Phenomenal anatomy/pathology book written for everyone
Iâve followed Mrs. Angemi for a few years now on instagram and was very excited when she announced this release of her first book 7 months ago. I received it two days ago and started to read it tonight. Iâve reached to page 93 within an hour and a half. I personally have a dental/medical background (Iâm a hygienist, mom is a nurse), and this truly is a book that appeals to both the lay person, and the experienced medical professional!The book is written like a medical textbook as far as pertinent details, but with explanations along the way so every person can understand. Lots of pictures pique interest and curiosity, and satisfy them.Each case is explained thoroughly and concisely, much like her famous instagram page.This is probably the best $20ish Iâve ever spent!

I love following what Nicole posts on IG, so when I saw she had a book it was a must purchase! My husband and I are into the morbid and macabre (we visit cemeteries for fun ð ), so we go through the book for fun – as well as her subscription website âThe Gross Roomâ. It fulfills my love of the macabre as well as my passion for medical knowledge. 100% worth it!

I have been a fan of Mrs. Angemi since 2019. I followed her on Instagram and then subscribed to her website TheDuraMater.com and I have been a fan since! She mentioned if her book in 2019 and I have been anticipating this ever since! I got my book on 10/26 and I canât put it down!! Itâs so fascinating! If you Love the book then you will Love The Gross Room which is all things pathology and it is accesible by subscribing to her website. I am a RN and I am completely fascinated by pathology and I learn something with every case I read in this book. I highly recommend it and I am looking forward to gifting this to all my nurse and Doctor friends! Christmas is around the corner so this is going to be a fabulous gift! Enjoy!!

Not quite as expected
The book is rather small in size (6â wide x 7.5â tall, but almost 1.5â thick). The photos are very graphic (as expected), but could have used a little more identification of what the reader is looking at, e.g: landmarks on the photograph. I am well-versed in anatomy so I knew what I was looking at (99% of the time), but someone who is not familiar with anatomical photographs would pretty much be lost while trying to identify what the author is pointing out, unless it is so obvious that no one could miss it.There are lots of extra, unnecessary pages dividing the book into sections by the alphabet. Itâs a hardback book printed on heavy paper stock so itâs heavy anyway and I think the extra pages could have been excluded.I follow Mrs. Angemi on social media and like her postings so wanted to see her book. Itâs good, not great, but certainly ideal as a quick read when youâre sitting for a short time.

This has been a great read so far! I am a nursing student, and learning all about the world of pathology is one of my favourite aspects of my journey so far. Nicole has such a great story and is a super cool soul! I originally found her on instagram and have been looking up to her now while embarking on this journey. Itâs really neat to see all the cool creepy things she has studied in her book!! Definitely a buy for the pathology lover.
