Comfortable and long-lasting
I wear these comfortable shoes year round. I have a white pair for summer and a black pair for winter. They are reasonably priced and last about five years per pair. My feet are very wide and I like it that these shoes come in extra wide sizes to accommodate them.

Great crosstrainer shoes for my treadmill, for walking or jogging
I’ve bought this exact make of Nike shoes almost 10 years ago, and the adhesive for the rubber soles finally came loose. So I was happy to find this exact same make of Nike Air Monarch shoes available on Amazon. These shoes are a perfect fit if you are a 9 and 1/2 regular sized foot. They are well cushioned and help absorb shock to my aging knees.I would buy an extra pair but I don’t know if the rubber for an extra pair will hold up after another 10 years. So I have to hope they still have this make of shoe available in another decade.

Best men’s aerobic shoe
I have tried every brand of training, walking, and aerobic shoe and I finally found a shoe that can stand up to my active exercise lifestyle. I used to turn my ankle a few times a year with other shoes and my metatarsal would be sore to the touch at least once a month. Since I have been wearing these Air Monarchs, I have not turned an ankle and my metatarsal is never sore. I have recently started using orthotics for my other shoes and they fit perfectly in the Air Monarchs with plenty of toe room. The last in these shoes is very strong and the shoes will retain form anywhere from 6 months to a year, depending on how many classes you take a week. If you workout indoors, the soles will not breakdown. I have pronounced pronation so I tend to wear out shoe soles quickly when I walk a lot, but indoors the first part of the shoe to age is the last and the shoes start to provide less support. The ball area has a round sole support which is good for spinning, turning, and other jazzercize moves.I also tend to wear holes in the toe area. Because these shoes are leather, toe wear is non-existent.I highly recommend these shoes for any type of aerobic exercise.I finally zeroed in on a size comfortable for me that is one size larger than my regular shoe size, primarily because I wear thick socks when I exercise which helps stimulate blood return as I am considered beyond middle age and my feet can swell more often. I would recommend you try shoe sizes before you buy. I order one size up on all Nike gear from experience.

A good shoe, but it squeaks.
The Air Monarch has been a good shoe for me for a long time — not perfect, but better than most. I can wear these because they are avail in the 4E width — most everything else is too tight in the toe compartment. These lace up nicely, provide good support for a low-top shoe, & fit my foot well enough to be fairly comfortable. Unfortunately, like some of the other reviews state, some of these shoes SQUEAK. I have 3 of these latest “IV Versions”, & one pair squeaks from the left shoe when I walk. OK, I’ll use that one for doing yardwork — the squirrels won’t mind. These shoes are WAAAY overpriced, so I shop them down as best I can. I just hope that the soles do NOT come UNglued long before the shoe has been worn much, like 2 other pairs did a few years ago — yeah, now they have Adhesives that are programmed to fail after a few years, forcing you to buy another pair — “Planned Obsolescence”.

Squeaking problem solved!
Iâve been wearing these shoes for many years. They are true to size, very comfortable and very durable. Only one problem has plagued me since finding them. squeaks! I always buy me some Dr Scholls inserts with extra arch supports. Hereâs what you need to do for the squeaks. Pull out the inserts, spray a light amount of WD40 onto the inside footbed and put the inserts back in. Squeak should be gone or at least very muted. Youâre welcome!

Nice Shoes But I Returned Them – I Wish For Universal Clothing Sizes
I have worn New Balance size 11 x-wide for many years but the problem is that periodically the model I wear is unavailable for some reason. Decided to try something more available and less expensive so I ordered a pair of these Nike Monarchs. They seem to be nicely made shoes (I didn’t get to wear them at all) but there’s a couple of problems, at least for me. First off, the insoles are glued in, making it impossible to change them unless you rip them out, preventing any return. The sizing is all wrong for me – I order the 11 4E, which should be similar to what I’ve been wearing, right? Wrong, with my normal insoles in the shoes, I can’t get my foot in even with the laces removed. Further, they seem to be at least 1/2 inch shorter in length than normal. I could go through the effort of finding what size fits me in this model but each return is a 20 mile drive. So back they go, never to be purchased again. It’s a darn shame but I should have known based on my experience with online clothing purchases. Who’d have thought one size 2xlt would fit my 9 year old grandson and another fit a 6′, 275lb man?
