The calcium buffers the acid from the C, and I’ve never had stomach problems using this. I up my usage and take stinky garlic oil capsules when I have a cold, and I’m convinced it helps. I’m not one that cares if its the placebo effect. If I feel better and recuperate more quickly, that’s goal. When I’m using it to fight a cold, I know I’ve taken enough when my urine turns yellow and too much if I get the runs.
