Another âpar for the courseâ DK release: Excellent photography, meticulous rearch, fun and concise reading with a team of people to put it all together. Impressive work.If youâve ever had a fascination of the ocean (who hasnât?) then Oceanology is for you. I remember being outdoors exploring with my father when he off-handedly said âWater is amazing. I can make a little pod here, come back in a week and things with be growing in it. After awhile, there even be little critters in there.â I thought âThat is something. How does that work, exactly?â This book begins to answer that not so simple question.I particularly appreciated the Classification section. Kinda sums-up the incredible diversity of ocean life (that we know about so far). After going thru the book once, I realized thatâs a lot of information to absorb. Yet, the thing is, weâre just scratching the surface with this fascinating and vast subject. This is the best book Iâve ever seen for getting started with this subject now.
