This flat iron is a fraction of the price of my Chi. It heats up really quickly and almost gets too hot. Unlike other flat irons, this one does NOT come with a heat resistant glove, which would be a great addition to assist with the overheating of the exterior. Also, since this flat iron can double as a curler, a heat glove would help there too….so if you have one, use it with this tool. The ceramic plates do a great job flattening my hair and the plates lock to save space when traveling. There are a variety of heat settings so you can adjust the temp as needed. Plates are 1″ wide, so works on smaller sections of hair at a time.
