Vulnerability and Resilience
In Something Lost, Something Gained, Hilary Clinton opens up in what feels like an intimate coffee chat, sharing her reflections on life, loss, and legacy. She begins with an unfiltered look at the pain of her presidential defeat, an honesty that challenges her reputation for being guarded. Clintonâs vulnerability deepens as she reflects on how those feelings intersected with the January 6th insurrection… which makes the chapter âRemaining Awake Through a Coupâ a standout and must read. But this book is about much more than politics. Clinton celebrates her lifelong friendships, recounts her efforts to support women during the U.S. evacuation from Afghanistan, and fondly remembers her last moments with her mother and so much more. With warmth and candor, Clinton offers readers a rare glimpse of her life beyond public office, balancing her political legacy with the personal connections that ground her journey.

Outstanding
Usually it takes me a day to finish a good book, but I took my time with this one since she had many thoughts on international policies and politics and from her perspective how it effects us. This woman is wicked smart and takes the reader beyond the usual drivel. Her thoughts on friendships and more personal relationships are interesting while happening in a high-powered political climate. What I found most compelling was her comparisons to earlier times in our nation vs now. I appreciated that as a student of Nazi Germany and how Hitler happened. She’s spot on in her analysis of many of the situations. Kudos for a well-written book.

Not one of her best, but still a fun read
Hillary Clintonâs latest book is a little light on material and insights and a little long on waxing about old friends.

Enjoyed the personal story.
I really enjoyed reading Hilary Clinton’s personal stories and her sharing her life experiences. Mrs. Clinton is not just a politician she is a great wife, grandmother and a friend. I also learned a lot of things about life- living the present life and not getting bothered by people’s opinion and the importance of hobbies; I plan to attend Broadway shows in New York, which is one of Ms. Clinton’s hobby. The books thought me living life with passion but at the same time spending great amount of time with loved ones. My final take on from the book is that at some point ” I am going have more yesterday than tomorrow like Ms. Clinton mentioned it in her books several times so I better focus on my inner passion and spending quality time with loved ones.

A sky full of stars wouldn’t come close to express what I think of that book. People who think that because they are making noises in the street they can make a difference, and that our heads of government just had to snap their fingers and everything happen as planned, well… you need to read this book.Hilary Rodham Clinton will set you straight on the difference between making noises and actually having the guts to take real actions that will have an impact on the issues, and let me tell you, gathering in the street making noise, and annoying people living in the vicinity, is definitely not it.And in this generation that wants results now, immediately, this instant, well, get real, it isn’t going to happen! I think she reminds us that every action, every word, by anybody, anywhere, has a ripple effectShe even finds good sides to people she didn’t particularly like. I find this refreshing.
