Great purchase
The size and varied pockets make this backpack optimal for both day trips and overnight stays. The backpack is light and not weighed down by unnecessary straps or other features and also has water bottle pockets with straps on the outsides which are particularly helpful in keeping water bottles in the bag. Great for Price. Use as winter car/get home bag
Literally got this for 9 bucks at the WMâ¦had to check receipt to believe. Mostly single stitched small to medium bag. I use this as an emergency bag in my car during the winter if I had to ditch my dress clothes and car in storm. I was able to pack much more than expected heavy winter shells, food, water, fire/cook gear. Looks like it will last long enough for whatâs needed. For all of you Amazon shoppers hiking the North Face this year it may not be the bag for you.
This would also be great for short day trips/kids bag. Even at the Amazon Price this is a good price.

The best backpack
This is the best backpack I’ve had in recent times, very spacious and accessible and the load is not felt too much. It is also of very good quality and I feel confident that nothing will come off.

Seems to be a newer model of my previous backpack, but far less capable
After 15 years, my cheap $10 Outdoor Products backpack which I absolutely loved started to tear. Unfortunately, they no longer make the model I had, and this one seems to be the closest to it. Unfortunately, this one is lacking. The front pocket is very deep, but the opening is so small that it is very difficult to get your arm into. It’s also very difficult to see into. Due to these issues, things just kind of get stuck at the bottom. The other two, larger pockets, are your standard, everyday, backpack storage spaces. So what is missing from the prior model? The prior model had an additional, zip up side pocket. The prior model had two pockets in front, one on top and one on the bottom. Both of these were extremely accessible and were great for storing smaller items. There is no good place in this pack to store smaller items save a couple of mesh pockets in the middle compartment. I basically just don’t understand how you can have a great product, stop making it, and replace it with a far inferior product.
