Nice color range
I really liked the color selection in this Paris Hilton lip stick collection as there’s something for every one and every occasion. Great for experimenting and trying out new looks and color combinations. That said, the quality isn’t the highest.I like that the color is sheer so it blends with your natural skin tones, but the lipstick feels more waxy than creamy or hydrating. It’s also not the most shiny so if shiny is what you want, you may need to put a gloss over it. It’s also not the most long lasting despite it saying 8 hours, but it did seem to hang on a little whileeven with eating.The lipsticks do all smell nice and have a little flavoring so not at all unpleasant to wear.The packaging is pretty and the lipstick cases are also nice looking but very lightweight and can be a little hard to open and close. But let’s be honest, the price is so low I wasn’t expecting much.Overall I would say these would make a nice gift or stocking stuffer for a younger person, ideally someone without a lot of makeup experience who wants to play and experiment with color. Not exactly what I was expecting with the name but again, the price point is super low so it was hard to be disappointed in that regard. So the rating is mostly given with that in mind.

What I receivedI received a tape sealed (I prefer sealed), rectangular kind of sturdy, colorful, black, pinkish, tote like cardboard and clear plastic window package, measuring about 7” x 5″ x 1 ¼” and weighing in at less than (06) ounces. [A sealed package gives me peace of mind that anything inside was clean and untampered with.]Describe the packageThe package had the Paris Hilton brand name and descriptive information on the exterior of the package, which referenced its country of manufacture.What’s inside the packageInside, as soon as I opened the package, were all items described in the listing, (5) tubes of high shine lipstick of varying shades, ranging from light pinks, medium reds and pinks to dark red and brown lipstick.All in allAll in all, it’s a variety set. I could find no chart on my own research that was a universal reference to the color scheme.I would have liked to have receivedA color reference sheet to the shades received.The qualities of this lipstickThe lipstick appeared to be long-lasting; have little bleed; the color was thick enough to cover; had a creamy application and feel; had some hydrating properties; was not too tacky; touched up nicely; had no offensive aroma; complimented my skin tone; had some level of being waterproof; and gave me some level of satisfaction in their application.The Right Tools Make a DifferenceHaving the right tools, such as all the items in this kit can make a positive difference and I think helps my skill level in choosing appropriate shades. I am not as intimidated by the process and application.CoverageI thought coverage was decent.Cleaning-offWarm water and a dry make-up pad gave me very good results.Giftable?Yes, makes a great gift. The packaging this came in was nice. But there is a caveat to gifting, for me.Significant criticismOn the bottom of the packaging, in very small print, there was a WARNING: Cancer and reproductive harm – then it referenced the website for P65Warnings.ca.gov. Are you kidding me? Nowhere in the listing does this note that warning. Nor is there any picture noting the warning on the retail package.My rights to decide taken away.That Prop 65 warning, I am old enough to decide, whether to use this, prior to selecting. By taking such away, it took my personal choice away. I do “not” care for products with such warnings, let alone not advising me beforehand. It’s a significant negative.ValueAt about a $1.60 a tube, it was very reasonable.ThoughtsIn my opinion, this is a nice selection. Not perfect, but nice.Who do I give this to?With that warning, how can I even think of giving a product like this? A childbearing friend? A teen.Value?With that [Prop 65] WARNING, this holds little value for me.Rating?Hmm, I would have rated this four (4) stars, before that [Prop 65] warning, which takes this product, in my mind, to a two (2). It would have been a one (1) but for at least they did warn, but that warning should have been blatantly visible in the listing.I hope my thoughts added a wee bit of information.

Some of the colors looked nice
I was excited to try this set of five lipsticks in varying shades and I really wanted to like them all, but out of the five, I really could only see myself wearing two or three of them. The light pink shade is just too bright for my taste and although they are supposed to be high-shine, I didn’t find them particularly glossy. They apply smoothly and are comfortable to wear, but I wouldn’t say they lasted me all day. My biggest concern is the prop 65 warning that is listed on the box, I usually try and avoid those when possible, especially for a product that is applied to my face.
