First of all let me clarify that I do not have short hair so this flat iron is not suitable for styling all of my hair. My hair is naturally curly so it definitely needs heat styling to tame it when I want to wear it straight. My larger flat iron does a great job; however, it doesn’t reach all the way to my roots like this small flat iron can. Because of my curls, my hair tends to have a mind of its own especially framing my face. This flat iron is good for taming just that area. Honestly, I doubt I will pull this flat iron out very often. It seems like a lot of trouble for such a small area of hair. The Saosa flat iron does not feel like a substantial piece of equipment. It is very light weight and feels a bit cheap in my opinion. My other styling tools are high quality and fairly expensive so maybe my expectations are too high for a $22 flat iron. It came in a nice storage bag with a heat resistant glove which is a nice touch.
