Ease of use
Husband wanted a new shaver. He chose this one and loves it! He has Parkinsonâs so he needed one that was lightweight and effective. He loves the clean smooth shave he gets each time he uses it. The cost was good, a bit lower than others but it didnât seem to affect the quality of use or outcome. This one will be going with us on all trips. The rechargeable feature is a plus as the charge lasts a very long time.

Perfect for what I need it to do!
This electric razor does everything the very expensive models do for much less. The pros: My girlfriend says my face is silky smooth. There is virtually no feeling of hair on my face and that when I shave dry. It’s smoothest when I use shaving cream. I like that it catches all the hair and has a release button to open up the head to dump out the hair. I also like that it can be used wet and is waterproof. The battery indicator in the front let’s me know when it’s running low with is nice and the charging station is a good place to set the electric razor than setting it down somewhere. The cons:Replacement blades are $25 and the shaver can’t be used while charging. The trimmer is okay but annoying to use. I suggest a separate trimmer if you need to line things up and other acts of grooming. The 5 minute charging is a gimmick so you will need to let it sit on the charger for an hour.To summarize, buy this and skip the more expensive models if you just need a straight forward, reliable electric razor that is waterproof and gets you an almost baby bottom smooth shave. I would maybe look for aftermarket blades if you want to save money on replacements.

Works very nice. Recommend to anyone.
Easy controls. I like the charging cord . Charges guick. Cleans easily . My wife approves of the way the shaver leaves my skin smooth. It is inexpensive for the quality of the shave.

Great value and all you need in a shaver.
I have purchased expensive shavers in the past. They did not offer any value above this shaver to me. This shaver provides a close shave and is easy to clean. The stand makes it easy to charge. The stand isn’t required for travel. It would have been nice if a charging plug had been included and better still if the cable were usb-c on both ends. It is usb-a on one end and proprietary on the end that plugs into the razor. Iâm sure that saves the company money, which leads to the low price and great value of this unit, but I would gladly pay a little more for the convenience of a standard usb-c cable. In spite of the desired charging upgrades, I am very pleased with this razor and highly recommend it.

Comfort and control
This shaver is by far the best shaving experience. No need for messy cream or soap. Very comfortable even dry. Very quiet and never a nick or cut. Close and controlled shaving every time. Good battery time and fast recharge. I’d never want any other shaver.

Quality, fun to use shaver
I’ve seen this style of shaver in movies and such while growing up. You know, the guy shaving in the car while stuck in traffic late to work? What a time saver I thought. But I always went with some form of safety razor for precision and closeness. After 30 years or so of seeing rotary shavers in ads, movies etc, and excellent results with other Philips Norelco products, like the vacuum beard trimmers they used to make. I figured the tech on the rotary razor is super refined by this point and wanted to try one. Even if it sucked, I knew I could use it at least on occasion to get a head’s start if I was in a rush.I got the 3600 because when I went to the brand website, it was one of this year 2024’s releases. And I knew I wanted the latest engineering greatness. Also this one came with a pouch, which is nice. If you look at all of their shavers that look like this, there’s not a whole lot of difference other than 5D vs 4D heads, the product color, and whether or not it comes with a pouch, stand, or both. Look closely, some of them the only difference from one to another is that for $20 more you get a charging stand.Anyway, I got this one because it’s a newer release, comes with a pouch, and I figure 5D means slightly more efficient or faster shaving. I haven’t compared but I wouldn’t think twice about any of their other shavers. I would expect a similar experience with any of them. The shaving experience is very nice, the rotary razors glide over my face like butter. I should note that I use the Lectric Shave splash first, which dries fast and then I dry shave over it. I like this a lot more than shaving in the shower with shaving cream, as I do with safety razors. The problem shaving wet with this is unless there is some lubrication on your face at all times, there is no glide with this electric razor. I imagine this is true for any rotary razor but, my experience is best dry with the splash first – no water. This works great to quickly and painlessly clean up your scruff, but if you haven’t shaved in a few weeks it’s probably better to start with a beard trimmer, as it seem like it would be quite a chore to weed whack a beard with this.Compared to the travel foil shavers I have from Bruan and Panasonic, I find that the Philips Norelco rotary does a better first pass, and the foil shavers do a better second pass or refining. With with the rotary/foil combo I can get a shave about the same as I would with a safety razor.Anyway, very cool and fun to use. Really my favorite part is the sensation itself of massaging my face with the rotary part. It doesn’t feel like I’m shaving at all, more like massaging my face, which is so nice.

A Shame
On the left is my old electric shaver. It came with a case stand power cord cleaning brush. Purchased in 2013.Still works great. But I decided instead of buying new blades it was time to buy a new razor. The blades were almost the price of a new razor. The new razor on the right was the same price as the old one. It came with only the case (cheap un-protected style) no stand even though itâs shown as having one in the add. And the most madding part no cleaning brush. I know itâs a wet dry model but so was the original shaver and it came with everything. And running water through it to clean it would clog up your sink in time. Very disappointed. What happened to the Norelco company? Philips buying it I think. Also to add insult to injury. It does not shave as well as the older model today. Buy another brand. Iâll never buy another Norelco. They were once great shavers but no longer.
