Excellent shaver.
I was a shaving with it for several times already and it works perfectly.
Very easy to use, lightweight and give you a good shave. and it works wet and dry. Easy to clean and wash with a water and also the self cleaning the feature is great because it helps clean and disinfect it as well as self lubrication. I am using the self-cleaning system once a week.
One thing that I noticed is that it came with a customized power adapter instead of USB cable as was advertised. This is universal power adapter that works all over the world uses 110 volts up to 230 volts.
The Bluetooth connection to the phone work nicely. The application is relatively basic and give you battery status information as well as feedback on your shaving and the monitor the status of the shaver and the cleaning pods.

smoothly
I recently tried out this product, and wow, Iâm really impressed! It glides on super smoothly, making cleaning a breeze. It does an amazing job of getting everything clean and shinyâno streaks left behind!
What I love most is how versatile it is. You can use it wet or dry, which is perfect for different messes. Whether I need to tackle a stubborn stain or just do a quick wipe-down, it never lets me down.
Plus, cleaning it afterward is a piece of cake! I hate spending a lot of time on cleanup, so this feature is a game-changer for me.
All in all, I definitely recommend this product if you want something effective and easy to use. Itâs quickly become one of my favorite cleaning tools!

One of the best razors I have ever owned
This is a solid, well-built razor. I have owned several electric razors over the years and this one really tops them all. I did my first shave with it the other day, and I was amazed at how close the shave was. As close as if I used my Gillette razor.
Iâm like my other razors, the manufacturer really stresses. The effort needed to keep this razor clean. It comes with a whole cleaning apparatus and instructions how to use it. I am impressed.
Not sure I will ever make much use of the Bluetooth and syncing Capabilities that come with it, but suffice it to say it is extremely good razor.

I feel ripped off on the price, but what do I know
I was excited to get it the day it arrived, but was disappointed with the contents of the box, which made me feel like I got ripped off. Basically it was the shaver, charging adapter and hard case, and this silly container of cleaning fluid. I use to sell electric shavers in high school back in 1980 at Fedco, and I knew what the blue fluid was. I’m still trying to figure out if I should throw it away or keep it. Like I need more stuff in my drawers.
Back to the shaver in general. The blades are super smooth with that special outer coating, and doesn’t cause razor burn for me wet or dry. The shave quality is as close as it gets for a Norelco, in fact even closer than the ones in the 80s. it’s easy to hold, and I’m still on the first charge after 3 weeks at 60%. It has cool lights that change colors for some reason, not sure why, but I like it. The trimmer is kind of weird, and doesn’t seem to really work that well on side burns, but maybe it’s technique. Cleaning it is real easy, and the hard case is nice for storing in the drawer.
What I don’t like is the control panel, that is always lit. Sort of like the refrigerator light, where you think it’s always on and never turns off, reducing battery life. Next the shaver head, where there is all this mass around each blade that extends about a 1/4″ out, so when I’m going under my nose, I tend to miss a bit and leave a little stripe. And going under my side burns, can’t really tell where the cutting is, but getting better at it now.
So it’s sort of take the good with the bad for me here, and just settle for this and keep it. Maybe there is a reason for the things I don’t like, such as head failure or strength that I didn’t consider.
As far as my rating goes, I would of given it a 5 at $150 without the cleaning system. I feel like in order for Phillips to maintain margin, they forced me to buy the shaver with the cleaning kit, to get me to purchase cleaning fluid on a subscription basis. I’ve tried cheaper versions before, but the blades were really rough on my skin.

Close, comfortable, and smooth shave
I am very pleased with this razor. It maintains its charge well, and delivers a close and comfortable shave. It is also easy to use and contours to the face smoothly when shaving.

Really Nice
I loved my previous Norelco SP9820 but I needed new blades. Additionally, after 15 years of use the rechargeable battery was not holding a charge as well as it once did. I decided to do some research. I settled on the 9500 and I am very pleased. After using it for more than two months I can attest that I get a quicker and closer shave than my old SP9820 used to give me. I find the blades do a better job in those hard to get at spots like under my nose. Two other big positives are the led indicator light that tells you if you are pushing down to hard or lightly on the blades, and the built in side-burn trimmer. My old Norelco required me to swap cutting heads to use the trimmer. The 9500 trimmer is fine for side burns, but I don’t think it’s designed for beards or heavy mustaches. There are also features that I haven’t tried like the Bluetooth connectivity. I really don’t need my razor to send me a report on how well I shave my face. There is also a accessory for cleaning the razor heads that I don’t use. I find brushing the heads daily and then washing them once a week with mild soap works fine. All in all I am very happy with this Norelco shaver.

Great Decision
First I need to say I have never liked electric razors! This is a dream com true! The bluetooth functions are great. I am for the first time ever getting the smoothest shave with no sore skin after. Pricey but worth every cent.

Have only used it for a week but, so far, it cuts cleanly and close to the skin. Seems to generate less stubble than my old Philips razor that didnât cut as cleanly but generated more stubble.

Iâm certain the shaver will work fine. Iâve been shaving for 58 years, mostly with Philips Shavers and never had an issue. This shaver only came with a U.S. plug. I canât use the product ATM until I go out and buy a U.S. to Australian conversion plug. Very annoying and inconvenient. This shaver is over A$400, and they canât include an adapter plug??
I could have gone to my local store and bought this product, with an Australian plug included, instead, I chose to buy it from Amazon, because I trust them. You would think they, and Philips, would be on top of this.
Australian buyers be aware of this issue.
