This “mat” is an excellent aid for learning the states. One side has all of the states with hames; the other has just the outlines of each state. Call them NAMES and BLANK1) Learn the names (and locations) by looking at the NAMES side.2) Test yoursef by looking at the BLANK side and trying to recall the name..3) If you want to practice reciting the names, the BLANK side has an alphabetical list.Some reviewers had difficulty writing on the mat. I haven’t tried the writing method, preferring simply to use it as a visual aid. For that it’s truly excellent.
