A PRACTICAL FINE ‘CORD’ A DECIDED WARDROBE WINNER
I was happy that I could review another item from this maker. Not only do I have growing respect for the products that they tailor I am finding them to be extremely suitable additions to my somewhat limited fashion wardrobe. This PJ PAUL JONES Blazer created from fine corduroy is another rave item and a keeper.First let me emphasize the softness and pliability of a similar fine cord fabric. Really great tailoring. I noted that some of the critical internal inseams in the jacket have a tasteful red piping that matches the color in the faux kerchief that sets this jacket quite apart from the ordinary.The pockets are ample and beautifully constructed. SOLID tailoring throughout.I ordered this in the XL and that produced for me the anticipated perfect fit.It has a formal two button closure but one will suffice to give you a more casual look. It lets a little more of you escape outward into the crowd. Setting forth a commanding presence. It is a subtle effect but still important.The button size and button hole perfect…alignment perfect.This is a versatile jacket. Wear it with denims, formal dress slacks, or a matching pair of trousers in corduroy. The shoes will be the key…black, or perhaps khaki loafers. No laces.If you must, and a formal dress shirt and tie are used, then of course you can lace up those Sheims.A well designed jacket deserves credit to the quality in tailoring. I am referring to such serious details as how the four evenly spaced accent buttons on each sleeve are sewn. They are not going to fall off. Very well done.Inside and out, I feel that this maker really takes pride in their product line. They are out to capture permanent customers for their clothing brand. They are doing that very well.Another fine detail is the swatch of material, that is shaped and sewn to create the faux kerchief that is tucked into the hanky pocket.it is a nice touch and another example of the completeness of this item.You may wish to place that in a bureau drawer and replace with a hanky of your own.One that you may use to dashingly blot the tears from the eyes of a delightful damsel in distress.I have always wanted to do that but the only time that I had the chance was in the kitchen of a political event and the only wipe available for me was a moistened paper towel. I gave her “Racoon Eyes”.She was a popular socialite and did not appreciate my devoted heroic toiling with the toweling.She was angry, she was revolting. It was mutiny on the Bounty.Onward:You may gather from my digression that I like this coat a great deal. You would not be far from wrong because I love this blazer! It is, as I said before, a keeper. It has become a welcome addition to my fall wardrobe.I am giving it the full bell ringing FIVE STAR RATINGIt has everything going for it such as style, practicality, versatility, fit, comfort, along with themodest price…all add up to outstanding value and another great garment from PJ PAUL JONES.It is perfect for fall, and for winter gatherings. Warm, comfortable, stylish.

Great Looking
I ordered this in a size Large, in brown. I hoped that the chocolate shade in corduroy would be a fabulous fall look, and I was right. It is.I have a husband and two grown sons, all of whom wear larges (sometimes mediums and sometimes XL’S too) but are completely different heights and weights. This makes internet shopping less of a risk as I am always pretty sure any garment will fit someone. The L was too small for the 6″ 210 pound kid. But it fit my 5’9″ 165-pound husband perfectly. The other kid didn’t even get to try as my husband called dibs right away.The cord type material is thick, soft, and warm. In our warm climate this will get the most wear in the winter months. The pocket square is an actual pocket square, not a faux sewn in one, and is removable. There are exterior and interior pockets.It wasn’t quite ready to wear on arrival. It was very wrinkled, and I had to steam it, and the tails were very well stitched together. Be sure to separate them carefully.This is an inexpensive garment, but one with such a classic and timeless look, and such nice lines, that it is sure to be in my husband’s closet for decades.
