Like scents? Me too … BUT here is essential information.
The Hidden Risks of Using Essential Oils in Misting Humidifiers
1. Significant Increase in Airborne Particulates: When you use essential oils in a misting humidifier, it dramatically raises the particulate count in the air. This particulate count isn’t just a minor increaseâit’s a major one.
2. Impact on Gas Stove Flames: A clear indicator of this problem using the stove. The typical behavior of a gas stove’s flame is blue. However, using essential oils in a misting humidifier, the suspended oil particles in the air can cause the flame to burn orange. The orange color is a sign the air is contaminated, OR the air/fuel mixture for the stove is compromised by lack of oxygen. There are many different elements that, when burned with natural gas, can change the color of the flame.
3. Effect on Allergen Filters: Allergen filters, designed to purify the air, struggle with these oil particles. They clog much faster than they should, indicating how dense the particulate matter is.
4. Clogging of Furnace Air Filters: The furnace fan runs 24/7 to circulate air and maintain temperature balance in my home. Using a high-quality Filtrete air filter (MERV 11 rated), the furnace did not heat the house when the filter clogged.
This clogging can trigger the furnace’s safety mechanisms, preventing ignition to protect both the system and the occupants. In a personal observation, a new furnace air filter became clogged within five days due to the oils in the air.
5. A decline in Air Purifier Efficiency: A LEVOIT Whole House Air Purifier, usually indicating 85-98% air purity (with eight cats in the house), showed a significant drop in performance. The purity levels fell to 30-50% using essential oils in the misting humidifier. Want scents? Get a spray can of your favorite scent.
6. Recovery After Removing Essential Oils: There was a noticeable improvement about 12 hours after the essential oil pad was removed from the humidifier. The air purifier’s readings bounced back to 80-95% purity, and the gas stove no longer burned with an orange tint.

Plant Therapy are oils you can trust
I have been buying oils for years and once I found this line, it has become my favorite. Real oils that are great quality and third party tested. A lot of them organic. They are going nuts a little over marketing now, and if they continue along that line, I will reconsider. I noticed they are selling other products I wouldn’t consider that aren’t oils. It seems greed always wins the day, sadly.

Of the other individual scents I really like the lemon and orange
This is my first set ever, so take that as you may. I have a lavender in another brand, so I have yet to try the lavender in this one to see how they compare. Of the other individual scents I really like the lemon and orange. You don’t need much of either of these and the scent lasts. Eucalyptus is nice, but seems to fade rather quickly. Tea Tree is not a scent I care for at all, but that may just be personal preference. The label says it is good for cleaning, so perhaps I’ll just use it for that. I also have yet to try peppermint or cinnamon, but those scents are mixed in with some of the synergy blends and both seem very potent and smell very good.
As for the synergy blends, I’ve noticed they tend to all have one scent that rises above the others. The sensual synergy has a very strong, very sweet jasmine scent and is my favorite (Ylang-ylang, patchouli, sweet orange, lavender, sandalwood, jasmine). Immune-Aid has quite a few scents in it, but they are overpowered by the lemon and orange which is fine by me, I like citrus scents (Frankincense, tea tree, rosemary, lemon, eucalyptus, sweet orange). The lemon and cinnamon were the powerhouse scents in Germ Fighter, also a nice clean clove scent (Lemon, clove, eucalyptus, cinnamon, rosemary). Tranquil also has a nice orange and grapefruit citrus scent, but it is mellowed by the bergamot (bergamot, patchouli, blood orange, ylang-ylang, pink grapefruit). Peppermint is the primary scent in the Energy blend (peppermint, rosemary, lemon, eucalyptus). My least favorite of the synergies is Relax. It’s most powerful fragrance is geranium and it overpowers everything else and not in a good way(lavender, marjoram, patchouli, mandarin, geranium, chamomile). I’ve found that if I add just a drop of this and several drops of lavender it (lavender is one of the scents already mixed in, it just needs more), it tones it down nicely.
All in all, I like the majority of these and would buy them again. It would be nice if we could choose our own scents to be included. I would swap out the three that I didn’t care for and get a few of the individual scents in the sensual synergy that are lost under the jasmine. As far as effects from these, I feel clearer nasal passages and a lightening of mood. Scent is a powerful thing! I don’t know about the healing properties, but I do feel good having bought myself this little luxury set. It seems high to me, but compared to the major brands it is quite reasonable.

Such an intoxicating scent.
I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a good quality rose oil and i’ve finally found it! Smells beautiful, like a true rose. I use this for making my own botanical perfume oil/botanical face serum. Very uplifting and promotes positivity.

This stuff smells like Orange Peel in a bottle!
I have really been pleased with all of my oils that I have ordered from Plant Therapy.
I have a very sensitive nose and can detect the presence of any kind of filler and so far these oils seem to be very pure.
I’m surprised that they seem to be such quality oils at the price point.
