This is a recent purchase. I tried three different manufacturers. This was the only vest that didnât bind me in the armpit area. I plan on using these ( purchased a 12lb and a 20 lb ) to add as additional weight when doing training hikes / dog walks as well as for certain gym exercises- so I canât speak for how these would work for runners. Weighted vests are very I individualistic regarding fit; I found this brand fit me well and was comfortable. For reference Iâm 6 foot, 175 lbs athletic build

Good vest, good for HIIT, good for weights, body work, tried 20 and kept the 30.
1 – I very rarely review products, but I had to review this one, because of the -few- negative comments, to provide my thought.I am 175, 5’10”, very active.I mainly bought it to hike at moderate pace w the dog in the woods and on trails. I do from 1-6 miles w it, feels great, good weight distribution, after a bit you forget its there.I also use it at the gym for pushups/pullups/and to add general weight/resistance to farmer’s walks, curls, squats, deadlifts.I tried the 20, it a was a bit on the lighter side, but it fit more snug and was a bit more tailored. The 30 is a great weight, but it comes in a bit bigger size, so not as snug for me, I adjusted the straps to smallest. It is very good for above mentioned workouts.It slim enough where I can even lie on my back and do bench press.IN REGARD TO NEGATIVE COMMENTS:Weighted vests are NOT made for running, for jogging, for tennis, basketball, ballet, or anything like that. I did a lot of research, you are not supposed to do those types of dynamic exercises, you can pull muscles, damage your vertebrae, damage joints, pinch a nerve. They bounce a little and that makes for more risk of injury. The sizing comes for a typical average body, a 30LB vest I would say would fit a 5’10”-6’4″ quite well. But if you are on a very small short side, or are very very husky, or very overweight, or have gigantic breasts, then perhaps you should take that into account and perhaps not get one.It is silly to run w a weighted vest.In regards to sturdiness and how it holds up, we shall see, I only used it for 2 weeks. But then again, its heavy, so I don’t throw it around, or smack it hard, after all its made of fabric, material that can rip if you hurl it far and with its weigh of 30LB.

Comfortable fit, good price
I bought the 20 pound vest. I use it for walking and lower body exercises. I hurt my wrist so I’m trying not to hold too much weight right now, so wearing the vest lets me add some weights to squats and lunges while keeping my hands free. I’m 5’3″ and 160 pounds, and since I recently had a baby and am nursing, my bust is larger and more sensitive than usual. The straps in the front fit comfortably above and below my bust without putting uncomfortable amounts of pressure. The fit is comfortable for walking, and the way I wear it, it’s not snug enough for running or other dynamic exercises. That doesn’t mean you can’t adjust it for a tighter fit though, I just haven’t tried.

Awesome vest for women
I bought this in the 15 lb. weight. I’m a woman 5’5″ and about 150 lbs. It is heavier on me than I thought! But it makes walking more of a leg workout which is what I wanted it for. The weight feels very well distributed. It is comfortable. I can wear it under a coat and it doesn’t look like I have a weighted vest under the coat.

Weird/large fit, otherwise good
This vest is relatively comfortable but I find the fit weird. First, all the weight is directly on my shoulders instead of being evenly distributed across my upper body. Second, the bottom of the “arm holes” (can’t think of a better descriptor for it) stick out very far from my body because the vest isn’t tight against my waist, so the fabric rubs against my arms as I walk and the vest is loose. I bought the 16lb vest and it is just very large on me (5′ 4″, 27 inch waist) even with the straps tightened all the way.I wish this fit better so that some of the weight was on my trunk instead of all hanging on my shoulders.

This weighted vest is so comfortable, no rubbing anywhere and the double straps across my chest/breast area is adjustable and does not pinch or squish! Very effective resistance for walking, I bought the 12 pound one and WOW what a difference that makes when I am on long walks or just cleaning the house!

I’ve jumped on the weighted vest for walking bandwagon and love it! I’m a 5 ft 3 in woman (145 lbs) and bought the 12 lb size. This vest is comfortable to wear while walking outside or on a treadmill (well, once you become accustomed to the extra weight) and is easy to take on and off. I do feel that it adds some extra intensity to my walks. In the past, I’ve tried walking with a backpack with extra weight (i.e. Rucking) but the weighted vest is much more comfortable as it fits closer to the body. The front straps are quite long for me, but I was able to fold them over a few times within the loop. The only downside to this type of vest is that you need to replace it with a new one when you want to increase to a higher weight, but I suppose I’ll gift it to a friend when that time comes.
