I have gone through 4 different rollers with mixed reviews. the flat pro-tec was the best but this is the absolute bomb. Me and my wife run about 10 miles a week and we would be super sore without this. It works the hamstrings and calves and takes most pain out if rolled 2 times a day. You can roll the lower back and the glutes. Rolling each face of each glute separately is magical and helps with lower back pain. My wife does this and rolls her quads too. If you get a more deep injury just roll every couple hours and the healing time will be shortened significantly. If you run or have back and leg pain you need this.

Love this thing, works great on the lower back and you can do it yourself no problem. Some days it’s a life saver, I get big knots in my back and lower back, this works them out really good, I like it much better than my floor roller.

Works well for thighs
I’ve got a few different rollers for working on my legs. 6″ roller, 4″ roller and a 5″ orb (orb is from the same company). This contoured roller with handles is a good additional one to add to the mix.Each is good for a different muscle area. This one is particularly useful for my thighs, pushing down on the handles and pinpointing the spot to work. It’s easier to work thighs this way than face down on a roller on the floor. So I do like this for thighs a lot.A floor roller is better for back of legs and IT band though (and would be for back too) – I find it difficult pull the handles on this one hard enough to get into those muscles from the side or behind. The gravity assist of rolling them on the floor is better, and this item doesn’t have enough diameter to work well on the ground. (For butt, the Orb is excellent btw).5 stars for thighs. 1 star off for a bit of “oversell” on working other areas shown in the video. E.g., no way to put enough force on this with the handles to effectively work bace.

Wonât reach muscles around shoulder blades
I am disappointed in the design because this massager is so short that Iâm unable to use it on muscles around my shoulder blades, which is the whole reason I bought it. I like the overall sturdiness, light weight and the feel of roller nubs. I purchased this to replace a similar style massager that I misplaced. This one pales in comparison because the size is impractical for my needs. I would have given this 5 stars if it were longer.

I like the fact that it is shaped and use it on my neck, back and IT band. The nobs mean you don’t have to apply a lot of pressure for it to be effective.
