Easy to use. Accurate compared to others and smart watch.
This oximeter came with batteries, a zippered case, lanyard, batteries, and user guide. I own a few oximeters and a smart watch. I like that this one included the case. This unit is very easy to use and gives quick readings. Compared to my other oximeters and watch, it is accurate. The bright screen is easy to read. I like the bright orange color because it’s easy to find when I don’t put it back where it belongs.

A Great Tool for O2 and Pulse
I have never used a pulse oximeter or pulse rate device before personally. Just at the doctor’s office. Following the pandemic and all the talk about oxygen saturation, a pulse oximeter has been on my radar. When this device popped up on my Vine listing, it made sense to take advantage of the opportunity. So far I like the device very much and have been using it daily to check both my heart rate and my O2 sat. I haven’t been as concerned about the profusion rate but it is something that is also listed with each measurement. One thing I learned very quickly is not to store the device in the rather nice little case that it comes with. It seems that the case is tight enough that it compresses the on button constantly and it ended up killing the batteries that were included in one day. So don’t store it in the case unless you remove at least one battery for storage. The O2 readings seem to be pretty accurate. I had surgery the other day which used a professional oximeter showing my O2 at 100% and the morning I used this device it was reading between 96 and 97%. The pulse rate is accurate as well because I have learned to listen to my heart rate and watch pulsing inside of my elbows to count the pulses and it matches the device perfectly. One thing I did notice is that the most accurate reading came from using my pointer finger for testing. All the other fingers and thumb were different on the low side. I am using rechargeable batteries that have been in the device for a week now and the battery indicator is showing no battery deterioration so far. All in all I think this is a great medical tool that seems to be well made and does exactly what it is designed to do. The price is quite affordable and I believe a great value.

Will not buy again
Love the color. Easy to read and simple to use. Only worked for about 3 weeks. Replaced the batteries x3 and still does not work. Wasted money.

Convenient for home use, appears to be accurate
The carrying case feels solid and strong, though I doubt it’s indestructable, so still use it with care. The case is hunter’s orange in color, and opens or closes by means of a zipper. This bundle also comes with a type of lanyard, presumeably for attaching the carrying case for easier transport and reduced risk of misplacing it. The lanyard, which is also orange, looks to be of ok quality, but I also wouldn’t try to add to much weight for it to hold, or to tug on on it too strainuously. Personally, I don’t intend to use this lanyard at this time, but I appreciate that it’s included for those who might choose to use it.The finger reader device is also a hunter’s orange, and is designed to look just like, and function just like, the ones you might encounter at the doctor’s office or hospital. I view this trait as a very good thing, as it helps reduce confusion that might occur around how this device works, or what it’s range of functions are. Likewise, the hunter’s orange color is great for spotting the device, should it end up being misplaced.I did test out this finger device on my own finger. After inserting the batteries that are included, and fiddling with it a bit to figure out how to properly use it, I was able to successfully use it, and receive what seems to me to be accurate readings. At this time, it is my belief that this device does work, when used properly, and as intended, and that it is accurate.Overall, I like this device and am satisfied with it so far. 5 out of 5 stars.

Average Oximeter, Lousy Case
An oximeter measures the percentage of your blood that is saturated with oxygen. That is the SpO2 reading provided by oximeters. A normal SpO2 reading is around 95% – 100%. The typical error rate of FDA approved oximeters 2% – 3%.Now that we got the stats out of the way, I am happy to report that the Maiyue Oximeter seems to work well. Its color display is easy to see, and it is very informative.Cons: Although the Maiyue oximeter works as expected, I have two concerns.1. I was disappointed that the manufacturer did not indicate if their oximeter was FDA Approved. It clearly states on the box that it is âintended for Sports and Aviation use only and is not a medical device.â Given this statement by the manufacturer, I have to assume it is not FDA Approved. That is a real shame, because it would be very nice it were accurate enough to be a trusted medical device.2. The little orange carry case that came with the Maiyue oximeter initially seemed like a nice/free addition. However, after I inserted the AAA batteries into the oximeter, I discover that the top of the carry case can easily turn the oximeter ON while it is in the case!!! Why didnât the manufacturer spot this problem and simply provide a slightly larger case? It really makes you wonder⦠Needless to say, I am just going to store my Maiyue oximeter in the cardboard box without using the orange carry case.Summary: Overall, I think the Maiyue oximeter is nice to own but it is average at best. I rate it 3 Stars.
