Love this book!
This is a must for anyone smart enough to be worried about the state of the world. Very informative, well written and covers all the basics that you would need to know in an emergency. I know the author and have taken his classes. I really wish I lived closer to take more of them. I will order more of this books though. Highly recommend.

Pretty book
This is a good beginner book on the subject of survival. If youâre a seasoned survivalist/prepper, Iâd take a pass, but if you want a good overview of the subject, by all means grab a copy. If I had to make an analogy (and I have to, because itâs fun) I would call this book the supermodel of survival books: really pretty but a bit lacking in deep thought ⦠no offense to any supermodels out there (I love you, how can you not love beauty so powerful it makes you drool?).
This book is well put together and looks great. Take it out on a date, show it off to your friends, but donât marry it. Well … on second thought, go ahead and marry it … after all, you’re not going to do any better in the looks department than this book.

Pandemics and world war 3 prepared
It’s a nice mix of information. I’ve always prepared for situations.. but with everything going on with wars rumored wars.. I figured having something here as reference incase emp would be a good idea. My 6 year old enjoys reading the comics in the book. He’s a pretty smart kid.

Concise articles with plenty of visuals.
The book provides a big picture overview of all the things you could need to survive, not only in the outback jungle, but also the urban jungle. The cover is very durable and not your typical paperback. The pages are nice thickness and the quality of the print is outstanding. The book is helpful and easy to read due to it’s concise topics where sometimes 3 or 4 tips are included on one page. Sometimes they can be too short and not detailed enough, but really, that’s not what this book is for. In full disclosure, I was a student of the author Tim MacWelch and attended one of his week long survival skills camps in Virginia. I was so impressed by his professionalism and great knowledge of survival skills, that it only made sense for me to purchase his book. You will not be disappointed.

It’s a hoot–as well as infomative.
I’ve got a lot of “prep”books, but this one is just downright fun to read, and he has some ideas I’ve not seen elsewhere. Also, he gives several ways to accomplish your task or skill–not just one. Example: making waterproof matches…of course you can buy them, but making them is simple and MUCH cheaperj, and he outlines 3 ways to do it. If you wanted to give a gift of a prepper book, this would be a good choice, because the book itself is “armored”…the picture doesn’t do it justice. It takes “paperback” to a whole new level. Whether this is your first prep book or your twentieth, you won’t be disappointed.

this book is a great start. However
This is a simple book for beginners. If you are new to being prepared, this book is a great start. However, if you have been an outdoors type person or emergency response type of individual for years, this book may not be helpful.

Like many of you I have scads of prep books
First saw this on a friend’s coffee table. He refused to part with it, so I had no choice but to get my own copy. Like many of you I have scads of prep books. The reason I like this one so much is because it contains concrete useful information, it’s delivered in a format that does not fry your brain with too much detail, I’m a visual person and this has great pics…. all in all, great for any ‘fresh out the gate’ budding prepper… and spiffy info for those who may think you’ve got your bases covered.

I bought this book thinking it just might come handy for some outdoor activities but it’s a great book about many different things glad I bought it.

Makes for a good coffee table book.
