Very comprehensive and detailed for the new intermittent faster
I didn’t know where to start with IF, but heard about this book and decided to try. The author set it up well with the order of information presented. The science behind fasting was really interesting to read about, and Gin explained it fairly well in layman’s terms. Good read!

Great book
Great and easy read. Great book for any beginner looking to start and understand intermittent fasting. Great book for seasoned intermittent fasters also.

Fantastic Book! Well researched, AMAZING Healing Results
I am a degreed nutritionist and health scientist and Gin Stephens presents the research so well, for anyone to understand. It’s comprehensive and true to the studies, which is hard to find in ‘nutrition’ books, most of which manipulate research to manipulate us into fad diets that never work. I came interested in weight loss, but I no longer even care about losing weight, because Intermittent Fasting has alleviated chronic health issues I’ve had for over a decade. I no longer have Chronic Fatigue, but am filled with energy, life, and vitality. I feel better than I have my entire life! No brain fog, endless energy, food tastes better, metabolism is healing, I ditched the scale but a ton of inflammation and bloating in my body is gone, I’m sure I’ve lost weight, I no longer have aches and pains I used to get almost daily, and it’s been just a few weeks!!! I noticed these changes within the first week! All my fatigue, body aches at end of day/with exertion/and brain fog were GONE in the first three days, for real! I often go from 6am to 10pm with no fatigue, in fact I’ve had to adjust to having so much energy, just 16:8 fasting. This book is a great comprehensive guide on why and how to practice Intermittent Fasting, in an intuitive way, without restricting carbs, and cutting out whole food groups. It will change the way you eat, over time, your cravings will change, and you will naturally eat more nutrient dense whole foods to feel good. Because you will feel so good, you will make food choices based on that, allowing more decadent foods in moderation. Fasting just naturally reprograms us for that.If you are a Christian, or not, I would add that God designed us for fasting. We are created to fast, and adding in prayer and bringing God into the process can have spectacular results. Sometimes I laugh when people are so amazed about fasting, because our Creator made us to fast…The early Church fasted 2/3 of the year, and Orthodox Christians still do! Many other traditions fast as well.God bless you and your healing journey with Intermittent Fasting. Just go for it! You’ve got nothing to lose and so much life to gain.

Put this in your cart now and thank me later!
Fast. Feast. Repeat. What a great read! I’ve read Gin’s first book, Delay Don’t Deny, and enjoyed it as well! It wasn’t terribly science filled, but was based on good info; I just really get a lot from the sciencey bits. Then I rolled into Dr. Jason Fung’s The Obesity Code, The Diabetes Code, and The Complete Guide To Fasting.I was a happy camper and fully armed with my arsenal of fasting info! I’m an RN and I love the science. I haven’t felt compelled to read much more outside of online research articles. I have been successfully IFing for almost 2 years. But we were coming up on our beach vacation and I love a good book for beach reading.I can’t say how much I love this book. It really took a lot of Dr. Fung’s science into account and broke it down to layman’s understanding. Its straightforward and thorough. All the basic questions are here and answered. The harder questions down the road are even answered or at least addressed. It is so well written, fun, and personable. Who else feels like Gin is a friend? ðð¼ââï¸I will always still heavy push reading Dr. Fung’s books and not to mention his online info; totally free because he’s a saint of a doctor that really cares about helping people. But I can’t say how invaluable Gin’s books have been.I don’t want to fly through a book, but when its about self improvement, I want to get through it pretty briskly! I read on this off and on for about 3-5 days. If you read really steadily, you could do it in 1 or 2 easily! It’s a good resource to look back on. It is wonderful for those starting out and it’s a good source of info/refresher for the veteran IFer! I didn’t need encouragement that I COULD fast, but if I did, this book gives it to you!Delay Don’t Deny is an even quicker read, I believe I knocked it out in a day; and if you want super fast and to dive right in, it might be a good starting place. But Fast, Feast, Repeat is just phenomenal. Everything is well sourced and the other book recommendations are great and super helpful! I think I’ll get Mindset next!I have been stalling with my 105 lb total weight loss for about a year now, bouncing up and down in a 10 lb range; this gave me some insight and remotivated me to continue my efforts and that despite stalls, I am still doing my body good. Some feel Delay Don’t Deny is encouraging a free for all food wise. While I think the first book could be seen that way by some, like Dr. Fung, I think it’s more about encouraging compliance. Dr. Fung even says that fasting can be coupled with ANY diet and that fasting is as simple as not eating; not having specific dietary restrictions or goals can be very helpful for some. It’s me! I’m some! Chronic middle child syndrome of, “You can’t tell me what to do!” Having more freedom in my food choices, helps keep me on track with better eating and I do try for more low carb because of my insulin resistance from PCOS.Fast, Feast, Repeat does NOT encourage an eating free for all or permission to eat whatever you want. It encourages the reader to eat whatever diet is best for them and if what you’re doing isn’t working, that adjusting it can be a big help; whether that’s keto, paleo, whole foods, etc. Also I would love to read a book collaborated by these two! I love their humor and writing styles!

Experiential account of fasting and the science behind it. If you are diabetic this is a must read. If you are overweight, this is a must read. Tried every weight loss scheme on the planet to no avail. 12 weeks in and down 16 lbs. Never thought I could do intermittent fasting but Gin Stevens walks you through it. Best step you can take for your health is to buy and read this book. Money well spent. It is easier then you might think, no calorie counting and super flexible.

I loved this book. I read a comment about someone saying that everything in this book is “simply obvious”, but honestly, for me it wasn’t. It was really an eye opener, I learnt about the science behind Intermitent Fasting so I could understand better what happens in my body when I fast, I changed some of my habits, there is also a chapter about how IF helps with apetite correction and how you can make most of it. This isn’t something you should follow as she says, she encourages you to choose your own program and what feels best for you. I’m in love with this book, right now I’m reading it for the second time this month and still learning new things. I know this sounds like a paid ad but it isn’t lol, i’m just happy about my results.

Read this book. You will not regret it. I read it in one sitting and started fasting immediately thereafter. I have not missed a days fasting since – in 5 months despite living my life to the full and have lost 42lb in that time. It has literally changed my life. You can really resonate with Gin. The way the book has been written is fantastic and easy to read, not too sciency – there are other books out there that get into the nitty gritty of this. But this is an easy read guaranteed to start you on your journey to a better, healthier and happier you!

A must have to understand IF

Hauptsache man bleibt am Ball, denn consistency is key.
