First unit delivered had a problem, but the replacement works wonderfully!
This has excellent reviews for a low-cost shaver, but the first unit delievered had an obvious defect – a hole in the shaving head, large enough that I’m sure it would grab skin, pinch and perhaps result in cuts to my face.I returned it immediately, of course, and received a replacement in just a couple days. It arrived fully charged, so I went ahead and gave myself a test shave. I was very pleased.Update:I’ve upgraded my rating to 5 stars, because now that I’ve been shaving with this razor a few weeks I’ve come to really love it. It gives a great close shave, and even a quick pass does a respectable job. For its very modest cost, this is a real winner.Second update: After several months of using this razor, I am more delighted with it than ever. It does a great job, has good battery life and, as I said initially, is super affordable.Buy it!

Good value
This is my second Remington of this type and I still have the first and it still works, if a little noisy and battery does hold a charge for that long, but for 15 years old, not bad! I love the swivel head and it gives a nice close shave, also the sideboard trimmer is a useful tool. Not as quiet as a Braun but robust and long lasting. You may need a pouch as it does not come with one, but at this price, no complaints. Replacement foils and cutters are usually easy to get.

Excellent shaver and great battery, budget price but the trimmer broke….again
This is the second time I’ve ordered this exact model. Remington apparently knows they have an excellent product in this lower priced shaver market. The battery lasts for weeks at first and so continues to work well for years, even as the time between charges slowly decreases. I get a great shave when the parts are new and it cleans well under water or with a provided brush.I knocked off a star, though, as the trimmer stopped working in less than two weeks. This is exactly what happened the first time I bought the same model several years ago. I use a separete haircut/trimmer device which makes that less important but it would be much better if there was a reliable trimmer for sideburns and basic beard or mustache trimming.Pros–Excellent shaver with tough beard–Long lasting battery–Long lasting shaverCons–Trimmer breaks in first week or two and seems to be a product flaw as it happened year ago as well

EXCELLENT VALUE
After 50 yrs, I moved back to a foil shaver. This one does a nice job. Cuts well, battery has decent time and it is easy to clean. Remington does have a small problem with their manuals as to charging. My wife had the similar problem with her Lady Remington. They do not adequately explain what the charging display means. For this shaver, that means my shaver had flashing green display and instructions to charge it fully before the first use. Fortunately, you can’t overcharge the shaver – since after 2 hours I still had flashing lights….. flashing means fully charged. I would buy it again.

Too early to tell but
I could say this I’ve been shaving a long time I’ve used all kinds of screen shavers all kinds of them this one shaves damn close I’m I’m noticing I don’t have to use a razor to get the the ones that are left over I’m pressing a little bit with it but I’m also using soap on the end of it like I got this kind of soap that I use and it comes out of a square bottle so I squirt the head the Shaver’s head and then I wet my face of course or I put a little soap on my face whatever and I shave like that and you know I’m used to using a screen so but I noticed that when you press on the thing you can get the longer hairs and it also it gets very close now I’m saying it’s too early to tell because time will tell if this thing’s going to last through what I’m going to put it through but I’m not jumping in the shower with it I’m just doing what it says in the picture which is you can rinse the shaver head under a faucet so you know that’s all I’m doing and what I found over time any kind of shaver with a lot of friction like this if you had something to lubricate it it’ll make the screen and the blades last longer and this I’m positive of but will it stand the test of time cuz remember I just got it will the battery hold up that’s the question and I’m not going to know for about maybe a year maybe 2 years like will it still be running really well in 2 years I don’t know I don’t know if it’s going to survive cuz that’s the other problem I’ve had with some electric shavers sometimes they just die I will say this though it doesn’t cut my face up like some of the other Shavers that I’ve used

I wrote this review as the husband of the Amazon Prime account user in this household.Over 60+ years of shaving, I have used a variety of different razors. My first was a rectangular shaped electric Remington. When it’s days were over I tried a 3 head Philips thinking that this design would do a better job, but not really. Next razor was a top of the line 3 header but after awhile I became dissatisfied with it and had to learn how to shave with a safety razor at age 55. Even that didn’t give me a very close shave anymore, took much longer to use and I had the inevitable occasional nick.Decided I would try an electric razor again. I talked with my 70/yo friends and read various reviews here (and elsewhere). It came down to this razor and a high-end Braun, which as it turned out, were both Amazon Choices. I decided I would try the less expensive Remington and return it for the Braun if it didn’t shave me well. Man, do I wish I had discovered it sooner! This is the best razor I have ever used.In 30 seconds, I can shave enough to get through the day looking clean shaven. If I want to add some William’s Lectric shave and an other 45 seconds to go over the trickier areas again, I end up with 0% stubble left. There can be no razor in the world that is better as I get a 100% shave that will lasts for 2 extra days if I want it to.The build quality is top notch, it is light for traveling but feels well balanced when in your hand. There is a 1 – 2 second hesitation at start up, which is disconcerting until you know it always does it. I have had it for 5 months now and have only charged it twice. I purposely waited for a few months so I could do a review over an extended period of time. No problems what-so-ever, high quality product at a great price – that combination doesn’t come along very often these days.

Es justo lo que buscaba, funciona muy bien, es silenciosa mientras funciona, la pila es durable y se recarga rápido.

I was told this version of Remington buts the Brauns and Phillips to shame, and IT DOES. Great device for everyone who needs a clean look every day.

This is a good razor, it gives a very close and smooth shave, and the price is pretty fair. The battery lasts a while too so that’s a an added bonus. It’s also very easy to cleanNow for the bad. The replaceable guard is very fragile and broke within the first week, it’s not the biggest issue however as the guard and blades have to be replaced every 6 months anyways so I’m not docking too many points. Another not real issue but one for me is that the machine isn’t water proof so it can’t be used in the shower or with wet skin, dry skin for best results. The trimmer is basically useless so don’t bother with it. It takes 12 hours to charge completely which is a feature that most companies use on their products to extend the batteries life span, still annoying though. In all, it’s a good razor, and the issues I have with it are minor at best, 4 stars.
