Well Rounded, Informative Book!
This is a very informative, 112 page book that explains more than several exercises and stretches to do with resistance bands. There are pictures with each and the book explains how to do each exercise properly and also variations and modifications in case you want to make the exercise a little more challenging or if you are not yet able to do it at the level they are showing.Almost all of the exercises are shown using just resistance tubes or bands, and either standing, sitting on a chair, or lying on a towel or (preferably) a mat. Some of them are done on an exercise ball. They could probably be done on another surface, but using the ball helps strengthen the core at the same time. After having done several stints in physical therapy for neck, elbow, wrist and lower back injuries and/or surgeries, I thought I would be familiar with every exercise in this book. However, there were several that I was not familiar with. It is actually exciting to see other variations to help keep things fresh, especially when you are in the early stages of recovery and you know it’s going to be a while before you will ever be a “gym rat” again. Thanks for a well done, well rounded exercise routine!

Helpful and comprehensive sets of exercises
This is a pretty comprehensive book that not only includes step-by-step instructions for each exercise, but exercise programs targeted to different needs as well. For example, there’s a set of exercises the author recommends for anyone who walks or jogs a lot. The exercises are intended to balance your workout by focusing on your core and upper body. Similarly, the book includes sets of exercises targeted to help with pain and medical issues, such as arthritis, knee pain and injuries, and back pain.I found this extremely helpful since I’ve been suffering from shoulder pain for years and want to safely strengthen my upper body.As a few other reviewers mentioned the book features exercises that use two types of bands: the simple flat band and the tubular kind with handles. I did end up buying both types. The book also includes several warmup exercises and stretches–though you’ll find them in the back of the book, which is a little out of order IMO.

Good reference book on resistance bands
I am into resistance band exercises. This book helps with each exercise. Only wish the photos were much clearer and in color.

A good manual but not really necessary
I keep asking myself why I paid $10 for this manual when the Therabands are so self explanatory. No instruction necessary. Be inventive and play around with them. It’s more fun that way. But, if you prefer to be told what to do, this is the manual for you.

Very helpful
This is one of those rare books, that skips all the mambo jumbo, and comes right down to business! Great book– full of photos and detailed explanations with each exercise. Very easy to understand and to follow. I love this book!Do to an injury. And back surgery, I am limited to light and medium strength exercises. I am using those exercises to gain flexibility and strength back after having been ill for a long time. I am also involved in an exercise program for elderly and disabled people, and found that the instructor is using many exercises that are shown in this book.I am not an exercise expert- but if you are a beginner, elderly, or recovering from an injury…..this is a great book! ( I did get approval from my Doctor first! )

This book contains comprehensive resistance band workout instructions, but the contents seem out of sequence.
This book contains comprehensive resistance band workout instructions, but the contents seem out of sequence. Warm-up exercises are at the very end of the book! Whupdat? Workout routines containing sets of exercises are discussed at the beginning of the book, before the individual exercises are explained. The exercises themselves are in the middle of the book. Once you figure this out, you can start at the end of the book and work forward. This is a very good book once you figure out how to access the contents. So… Learn the warm-up exercises at the end of the book first. Take a look at the exercise routines at the front of the book next. Then go to the middle of the book to find the exercises that are included in the various routines. Now you can select the exercise routines from the beginning of the book that suit your needs and goals. Now get off your butt and start exercising! (Actually, you don’t need to get off your butt. Most of the upper-body exercises can be done seated! Rah!)

I’d say this is a pretty effective primer on resistance band workouts
I’d say this is a pretty effective primer on resistance band workouts. Other reviewers indicate its orientation is moderate or mild workouts, rather than major league strength training. Well, so be it — I just wanted an introduction to the subject, and this book fills the bill nicely, thorough and safe. The exercises are well explained and illustrated, and sample sets for specific goals or situations are given. If you’re after monster abs, I guess you should look elsewhere.

I recently purchased this book, and unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The content is poorly presented, with black-and-white pages that don’t add any value. Most of the exercises focus on small muscles, which makes it less useful, especially for beginners who need more comprehensive guidance. Overall, the book lacks practical utility, and I regret spending money on it. I highly recommend avoiding this purchase, as it doesn’t offer much beyond basic exercises that don’t target the key areas needed for effective training.
