Very nice ice scouper
Like the telescoping ,don’t have to bend over to use, closes up nice to fit inside bucket.the the knob to control the scoup is another nice feature.looking forward to useong it once the ice is safe to go out on.it well made and sturdy.would recommend to ice fishers.ðthis was a gift so o don’t know what the is,but it’s well worth anyprice.

I use this scoop to fill my bird feeder (plate type) that is on my iron fence, on a bit of a slope. Peanuts do not fall through the holes so it works well for some extra reach.

Used It To Scoop Agates
Took this to the beach to scoop rocks/agates out of the deep parts of the tide pools. Worked great in the deeper/larger pools. The basket is plenty big when you want to scoop a handful of rocks, but it’s too big to scoop just one or two rocks. The basket is sturdy. The handle telescopes easily. My hubby attached the handle to his pants while we walked and it was lightweight and comfortable against his leg. I wouldn’t purchase this scoop again for rocks, but for a first scoop and at a price point under $15 this scoop is well worth the price.

I bought these as a gift for a friend to use while they are rock hounding. I am concerned about how well the strainer is going to hold up as it feels like a lightweight thin plastic. I am also disappointed in the adjustment/attachment area design. I worry the screw is going to loosen and fall out. I also wish the telescope part would have plastic on both sides of the adjusting piece of the basket. The telescope handle and grip seem to be well made. I do like that it can be shortened to take up less room in the vehicle.

I’ll admit I have no intention of using this for ice fishing. Actually there is no ice on the lake this year. Yet that doesn’t mean I don’t have a use for it.Outside my home I have a few dry wells, and although they’re covered up, stuff still gets in them. Meaning from time to time you have to pull the leaves out of the water or rescue the occasional frog.This product from HUNTURY is just long enough to get the job done. The yellow plastic that makes up the basket and handle is thick enough for its intended purpose. While the shaft appears to be durable. I locked up all the sections (actually it’s three) and pushed on them to see if they would collapse, and nothing happened.The basket can be rotated 180 degrees and the thumb screw firmly locks it in place. The handle has a small lanyard on it so the ice scoop doesn’t take a deep dive down the hole if you’re using it for ice fishing.So in all I’m happy with it. I think if used for its intended purpose or something close to it. Then there is no reason it shouldn’t last. Stay safe on the ice !

Retractable Ice Skimmer
When I saw this retractable skimmer I had to give it a try. It’s important when ice fishing to keep ice out of the hole your fishing in. My old skimmer was a fixed handle that was short and you had to reach and bend to get down to the hole to keep the ice out. When you have multiple layers of clothing on due to fishing on ice it can be a daunting task to move. I was excited to see a skimmer with a longer adjustable handle. This one also has an adjustable scooper. So I love the idea an innovative approach to this product. Where it falls short for me is that the retractable sections do not lock into place tightly and are a little wobbly. The plastic adjustment for the scoop is not durable, especially for a tool that will be dipped in icy water over and over again. Overall this is a great idea but needs to be sturdier and made of materials that are more suited for freezing temperatures.

This is perfect
This ice scoop is our new go to ice scoopy. It folds up small enough to fit in our rod case. Then it extends in two different places allowing us to scoop standing up or from our chairs. No need to crouch or bend over and reach. The pole extends in two different spots and the scoop itself can be rotated different depending on the angle you want it to scoop on. It doesnât feel like the highest quality of materials, but it definitely does what itâs suppose to and gets the job done and we havenât had any issues with it.
