New model has a much shorter cord.
Just purchased this Revlon dryer as a replacement for my 5-6 yr old dryer of the same model. The newer model I just received has a power cord that is 12-15 inches shorter than my previous Revlon dryer. Itâs a problem when the electric outlet is on the opposite side of the sink from the adjacent vanity. It has great power for drying and is relatively light weight, so if a short cord is okay, itâs a great hair dryer.

Just right for the job.
My wife had a hair dryer that would cut in and out, and it would cause some frustration. After listening to her complaining and banging on the counter, I ordered this one. It arrived the next day and I won her heart over again. The one she had, had a loose connection in the power cord that caused the problem. It was a cheap model from the local Big box department store. So, I’m hoping she has learned that you get what you pay for. Yes, I will order another one if this one fails in the distant future…

It stopped working after 6 months. I contacted product support and it was still under warranty so they sent me a new one. Very happy because it’s a great blow dryer. Dries hair really fast!

Doesn’t Last Long – Short Cord
I loved these dryers and I’ve owned at least four of these hair dryers over the years. I have arthritis so I really loved how lightweight these dryers are and they are pretty quiet. I don’t have long or thick hair and this dryer worked fine for me. The problem is that they don’t last long and each time I replaced one, the new dryer would last a shorter period of time. The first dryers had an issue where the power cord joined the dryer and eventually they smoked and sparked at that join and stopped working. Another one just stopped working for no apparent reason. The most recent one didn’t even last 6 months before it stopped working while I was drying my hair. The high, low, off button got stuck in the high position and wouldn’t budge. The cords have become so short that I can only dry my hair in the bathroom where the plug is higher on the wall, otherwise I’d need an extension cord. So this time I bought a conair which is about as light and quiet as the revlon, with the same short cord, and I’m guessing it will last about as long.

I received an used hair dryer. Amazon reimbursed me after returning the product, but this was supposed du be a present and I checked it only because there were traces that the box was opened before. I am very disappointed in Revlon.
