So engaging! Making predictions, hunting for rocks, teaching about differences and similarities, so much to learn!
Iâve read this book to kindergarten through fifth grade students and all have enjoyed it. This book is engaging and will help teach students how to make predictions. My students had fun finding the hidden rocks on each page. Our school has used this book during social skills groups and classroom lessons. Finally a book that helps teach others about how our differences make each of us special! So many extension activities can be created to go along with this story. I will continue to use this story from year to year with my students. Rock on Kindness!

A wonderful addition to any grade school aged children’s library!
This book is a big hit with my daughters ages 6 and 4. It’s fun and educational and on trend with the rock painting phenomenon. They especially love “predicting,” as the author explains, which rock was intended for which friend and finding the hidden rocks within the park. I love how the book discusses acceptance of others despite their differences. The illustrations are colorful and beautiful. A wonderful addition to any grade school aged children’s library!

Beautiful story
This is a beautiful story about differences in children and how that makes us who we are. The rocks are an awesome idea to connect children and adults. It is a well written story about friends and finding painted rocks. Highly recommended for a teacher, parent, or grandparent to have in their library.

Awesome, interactive book about being kind, even to friends who are different from us
What a great children’s book! My boys love it. They love to find the rocks hidden in the park scene. And as a mother, I love the fact that they are learning about kindness and inclusion. That we are all different in some ways but we can always find something we have in common to form a friendship

Great interactive story about kindness for kids!
Beautifully written story about kindness. Whether you are into Painting rocks or not your kids will enjoy making a guess about whose rock is whose and where they are hidden. The book has diverse characters that share similar interests. My children enjoyed this book and it inspired us to get outside and hide some rocks for friends!

I used this product for our day on kindness. We used this book and another book to discuss kindness rocks before we painted them and hid them at the park. The students did not like this book as well as the other book we bought called Kindness Rocks. They enjoyed the story and vibrant pictures in the other book. This book had a good message but was not as engaging. I probably would skip buying this book.
