Great practice for rope darting
Iâve had this practice rope dart for a while and was definitely worth the purchase. The ball isnât too heavy so if you do somehow end up hitting yourself it wonât hurt whatsoever unless you are swinging it full force and you donât stop it before it hits you. I took off the green flag and replaced mine with a different colour flag and spray painted the ball gray for a more traditional look. The thing still swings great and the rope is soft so it doesnât burn your hand at all unless youâre messing with the rope dart for a long time. Sturdy and fun to use

Wonderful for a Beginner
This has a lot to offer for someone like myself who is just getting into rope dart. I have been practicing pretty frequently for around a month and have not come across any issues. The rope is a great quality, so you do not get much rope burn after the first week or so, and the ball itself is not very heavy, so I do not feel like I need to practice with any protective equipment. I immediately removed the flag just because I was not a fan of its look, so I cannot comment on that, but it came pre-tied and it is holding up great. Happy to have purchased it!

~ Definitely worth the price ~
Ordered this for my spouse as of June 16, 2019.Pros:- Ball came pre-knotted and attached- Rope friction is easily controlled with chalk- Screw nuts attached in the ball are extremely durable- Ball is a lot more durable than it looksCons:- Weak ring- Flag flys off on the first few days; thinner than paper- 4 inch of ropeâs end unraveled during the second week of performances- Ball are heavy; slows you down- Helmet is necessary for beginnersDurability- 5 starsStability- 5 starsWeight- 2 starsRope- 4 starsConsistency- 4 starsFlag- 0 starsMy spouse replaced the ring, added a bandanna as a flag and is still using it for her performances.( After she cut off the unraveled end of the rope and glued it shut, the rope is still being used today and has not unraveled since.) Ball: Lots of damage has been done to it- not even one chip.~Worth the price~Update: November 3, 2020 (1 year and 5 months later)My spouse is still using the exact same rope, and has the red ball put up. She converted the rope into half poi/ half rope dart, âThe Sashâ as she calls it. She bought poi balls from amazon, attached both balls to both ends of the rope and now does amazing performances. She trains with Tom Fazio off of YouTube, and because how much lighter the poi balls are- she swings it extremely fast. She started out as doing poi to train both hands for coordination, then moved up to rope dart for full body motions, and lastly- she learned Chinese kung fu. Finally, she now does everything in one swift motion.Chalk: She stopped using chalk, considering that her hands grew extremely tough, and has calluses to prevent rope burns. Itâs crazy how her hands developed stronger skin, the longer she used the rope. The only con was, and still is the flag. She stopped using the flag on week three of purchase. The red ball was used for almost a year, and is still extremely intact. Not a single chip have been created, but she put it up on behalf of the weight slowing her down. (As mentioned above in June of 2019)Rope: 5 starsBall durability: 5 starsConsistency: 5 starsBall weight: 1 starFlag: 0 stars

Perfect for training, entry level or safe practice for experienced practitioners
The weight on this is absolutely fantastic, maybe even a little too heavy but really helps with conditioning and once mastered a little more an actual meteor can be connected in its place. The flag is placed a little lower than I like and length of the rope is also slightly longer but thatâs an easy fix. Great product though

Rope breaks in very well
The red ball hurts your non-red balls.Buy a groin protector.

Won’t last long.
For the price, I expected it to last longer. Maybe because I’m a beginner, I’ve been using it wrong. But after only 3 months of use, the rings connecting the ball to rope broke after one day of rigorous spinning.

Its great but its long

Rubber ball is resilient to abrasion, even on asphalt. Rubber is soft enough to not hurt you during training but heavy enough for good control. Rope works well and does not twist up during training. The Metal split ring does not hold up well, and will separate quickly. I ended up welding closed one of the other rings supplied with it. You will need to upgrade / replace this ring with something stronger.Other than that, great product.
