4th pair of these!
I don’t know what it is about these Rykas, but this is literally the 4th pair I bought. They were 50% off this time, so I had no other option but to purchase. They sat in the box for a few weeks. I recently had knee surgery and since it aligns your entire leg,ankle…I pulled out the new pair. These are the only shoes I can wear at work,standing all day without getting swollen feet and ankles. I just wish I could buy the peach colored ones, but they never have my size- 11W! Which this is another reason I love them- they are wide enough, support my ankle and are fashionable.

Extremely comfortable! Amazing support, and appearance wise is very appealing. Worth the money for sure. I wear these to teach and participate in cross training classes. Good stability for the strength and resistance portions of classes but also lightweight and comfortable to wear during cardio. The added ankle support from the strap won me over from the beginning. Only downsides, laces are a bit awkward and donât stay very tight, they come undone fairly easy. And these seem to run a bit large. Iâm usually a 7W but with these I think a full size down would work better!

a few years ago, i was locked down in my house and couldn’t do anything…words, something about a pandemic. so while people were putting weight on and growing foul-smelling food-catching beards, i bought a pair of ryka trainers and with their help i started working out at home using a nintendo product losing 45lbs. the lockdown ended and i happened to start dating someone who loved wine, wine tasting, and weekend road trips all over CA to procure more wine. so, i put the weight back on. we broke up in the spring and i decided to lose the weight again, and then some. i really liked the fit of my ryka’s as i danced and ran around the tv losing weight. when i decided to join the new gym across the street, i bought some new ryka’s, these ryka’s. i needed something to hug my ankles and provide support and yet accommodate extra room for my ankle braces. i found everything i need in one place and they are sooo comfortable and supportive, you should try them too! i’ve started losing weight again (approx 20lbs) and i could not have done that without the gym where i get to show off the best training shoes ever!

Just as many other reviews stated, these shoes are flimsy, not well made, provide no support, #wouldnotrecommend. I proceeded with my purchase bc I thought, “I don’t plan to machine was these shoes; so I’ll be fine.” I was wrong. I purchased the shoes solely for step class bc of the seemed instep and ankle support. I wore the shoes 3 times and the third time was so I could assess what I already learned. After the second wear to step class the shoes gave me zero support. What I thought would be ankle support was an unsupportive velcro strap and the instep support wasn’t any better. Please do not waste your money. These shoes don’t even provide support for a casual walk. #Wouldnotrecommend.

Best as a Walking Shoe
UPDATED AGAIN: 12/06/2024 (Purchase date 06/2024)I purchased a new pair of shoes due to the washer/dryer mishap with the last pair. I bought a black and grey pair, and upon opening the packaging, I noticed some discoloration. I didn’t really think anything of it until the discoloration became clear dry rot. By then, I had had the shoes for three months. They are still wearable, and make my feet feel great while walking and moving about, but I will likely switch to another brand that is more durableUPDATED: 4/21/24I washed them and put them in the dryer with other clothes. The shoes melted and became warped. It was time to get new shoes anyway, but my goodness! So, I would suggest washing these and then letting them air dry.I purchased these because I really wanted some cute high-top shoes for my decrepit feet. I never realized there was a such thing as a mid-top sneaker, so I was a little skeptical of how it would look paired with my leggings. However, the pretty color swayed me to purchase these Ryka’s over the other shoes I was looking at, and I am very pleased with the shoe!With this brand, I usually get a half size up (9.5) or a wide (9 wide). I also pair these with orthotic inserts to increase comfort. These shoes took some getting used to, but they are reasonably comfortable. Judging from the other reviews and based on my personal experience with the shoes, these are not meant to be high-intensity shoes for an extended period.These shoes are best for walking and standing. So, if you work in a library, museum, or any building where moderate walking is a requirement then these are perfectly fine and will likely last the normal length of time of most shoes with little difficulty. I was hoping to get these in other colors, but my size isn’t available in the other color options I want. That being said, I would recommend these shoes.

Cute style, great fit, seems durable so far (work quite a lot in the last few weeks) and best of all they have the pivot ball on the sole to help with Zumba or Mixxed Fit type dance fitness classes.

Great shoe and comfortable
I stopped having aching ankles after zumba once I used these shoes. Not sure the dance pad is really effective but it’s okay. Also I wish I had ordered a half size large (9W) instead of my size (8.5W) as they run a bit small and I have to wear thin socks so they fit okay. Most midtops and high tops give me ankle blisters but these have a padded cushion at the back that is great. I bought for $42 and went back to amazon to buy another pair in a different color and they had more than doubled in price within two days. Very disappointed! Don’t know why the price skyrocketed.

I have plantar fasciitis on one foot – these shoes are very cushioned in the heel area and cause very little discomfort when I wear them – the only shoe so far that I can wear without pain. I have another Ryka pair of runners that I wear for work (a nurse) and I can walk for 8 hours without much discomfort, thanks to the cushioning in the heel.These fit a little different in the heel – seem a bit wide but it may be because of the higher top. They don’t move around on my heel – just feel different and again I think it’s because of the higher top. I ordered my usual size 8 in the black multi (with turquoise sole) – really nice looking shoe and so comfortable.

I am a dance fitness instructor, and buy a new pair of Rykas each year. The very best for lightweight stability and fantastic ankle support. Also roomy enough for my orthotic inserts. The pivot point on the sole works super well to let me pivot and spin without sticking due to too much tread. Highly recommend these shoes!!!!

Bought these for my Zumba classes, because my Reebok were worn out, and discontinued. This Ryka model is light and very comfortable and it Fits exactly to size. I am a 6.5, and ordered 6.5, there is less than a 1/4 inch space before my toe touches the tip of shoe. The fun part about the Velcro is that it’s really easy to put on/off the shoe.Highly recommend this product!!
