    Awesome book!
Bought this for my grandson! It is SO much fun and easy enough to follow. Great find and a must have for kids 8 and up (I’m over 12 and I love it!). Great way to have quality family time without screens….

    Better than magic!
I bought this for a science-loving kid in my life and its so great I’m getting more for Christmas gifts. This is not your typical magic trick book or your typical science experiment book – it’s the best of both! Each ‘trick’ is actually a classic science experiment – but the book presents them as magic tricks to be performed in front of an audience complete with tips for pulling it off with flair. But it’s not only the magic trick angle that sets it apart from other science experiment books. The author clearly has great respect for her audience – there are serious chemistry and physic principles at play here and each trick clearly explains “the science behind the magic.” But also everything looks so FUN! Many of these experiments require safety glasses. Things burn and levitate and ooze. And seeing photos of actual kids performing the tricks is a confidence booster.

Making science fun (and not so scary)
I love how the author tells what each discipline of science each trick uses, biology, chemistry, physics, etc. The explanation of the science behind the magic trick is written so well. I wish there was a book like this when I was a kid. Maybe I would have liked science!

    A Fun Collection
This is such a fun way to present these science experiments! It gives kids a fun reason to try the experiment again and again plus perform the experiment for someone else. I am sure it will help cement what they are learning so much more than if it was set out for us to do this once together. This is filled with great experiments. Some I have seen and some were new to us. I think 8-12 is the perfect age for putting on a show and trying these experiments. Plus, there are even some I believe my 6 year old could do. I appreciated the index and glossary as well.I do wish the explanations were a little bit more in depth but overall it is a great book.

    A Must-have for kids!
We’re always looking for something new to do with our grandsons. This book is filled with great (easy) experiments and STEAM activities. We easily flipped to one we could do right when it arrived. The instructions are clear, the photos are fun – and just about everything you need is already in the kitchen cupboards. Way to go Author!
