Great price. Good shade.
We used this at the beach it was perfect for our needs. We got the 11 x 11 tent and there was plenty of room and shade under it for our family of 4. We ended up only using two poles to prop the front of the tent up and it was windy enough that the back was propped up. It was super easy to set up. You just need to make sure you arrange the sand bags at the correct angles and fill as much sand in the arm bags as you can. I liked this because it was super compact, easy to carry, and was a quick set up and take down that my kids could help with.

This is very easy to put up. Also easy to take down. I did have a lil trouble after a week of use, the poles tend to get stuck together. Iâm pretty sure the combo of salt and sand. Next year I will be better at cleaning up..

Heavy, poor quality materials-do not by this one
I mistakenly thought this canopy was the same one I had purchased before as a gift that received glowing reviews. The picture is identical to the first one and I know you can usually find the same item from different manufacturers on amazon-so when this one arrived in my feed and was on a “sale” so I thought I scored! I bought this for our once-in-a-lifetime family vacation to Hawaii to celebrate my in-laws 60th wedding anniversary. This would allow those who could not handle the sun for an extended period to all be together and we would not have to worry about renting something something else. When we packed I was surprised by the weight and it caused us to have to bring another suitcase-felt like a small price to pay for this amazing trip at that time. We were shocked at what we actually bought. The stakes to hold this down were so small and cheap that no matter how deep we buried them they slid out of the sand like a hot knife in butter. The canopy itself was not the lightweight parachute material but a heavy and super stretchy polyester-like fabric. Stretchy & heavy being the issue-as soon as you set this up the weight of the fabric caused it to stretch and then sag in the center with in minutes-it was a nightmare of constant reconfiguring which was of no use since the stakes did not stay in the ground. Eventually, we found some trees to tie this to but the sagging was a huge issue. This was very expensive mistake on my part-do your research-make sure you are getting the lightweight fabric with substantial stakes. We did end up renting umbrellas for my in-laws and toddlers which we reasonable and easy to find if you are heading on a similar vacation:).

Tent – This is the perfect beach tent and we loved it! It takes a little longer to set up than a normal canopy, but after set up you can enjoy this great tent. It held up extremely well in the wind.We’ve used it twice and highly recommend it for the beach!!! It worked perfectly for our family and our Florida beach days.Carry bag – We didn’t notice the small hole in the carry bag until we arrived at the beach and then after, it became a large hole. The carry bag is made of very cheap material that can easily tear. I posted a closer pic of the material that is starting to tear.

A pain to put up
I ended up buying this sunshade because of the convenient size it packs down. It takes some practice to put up and needs adjusting once the poles are in place. I don’t see how someone could put it up on their own but it took me about 10 min with another person. Aside from the annoying setup, it did the job of blocking us from the sun. Bonus points because when the wind scooped up a bunch of other EZ Ups at the beach our sunshade stayed in place.

Lots of shade; sturdy against the ocean breeze
We used this item on the beach in July 2024, and it performed perfectly even in fairly high winds. The sandbags need to be filled to capacity (or close to capacity) in order for it to be sturdy. We did not need to use the stakes and ropes even though it was pretty breezy. Our family of six was comfortable in the shade provided by the 11’x11′ canopy with plenty of room for blankets and a few chairs. Set-up was easy after watching a couple of ameture online videos. Well worth the price!!
