When I was diagnosed as diabetic the nutritionist gave me a folder and xerox copies of an eating plan. So I glanced through it and meh. She also had the holier than thou attitude so I couldnât wait to get out of her office. I found this book on Amazon and it is a lifesaver. Teaches food groups. Healthy and not so healthy. Calories. Which veggies to eat and how much. Which to avoid or limit quantities. So much information and so easy to read. Also easy to refer to in a hurry. Colorful. Shiny pages. This is what the nutritionists should be giving out to the newly diagnosed diabetics. And I think only 3+ dollars. Well worth it.

Type font used in the list is very small so that I must concentrate to be able to read the charts.
