Is this really durable compared to other products? what is the difference?
EDIT: After my review, I had a 4 time email conversation with Selkirk support and I am totally satisfied with their explanation and effort to understand and resolve the issue. If balls are made from harder materials, it will crack easily, If it is made from soft materials, its shape will deform. Keep the deformed ball ( don’t throw away and they will come back to normal shape again). Trust me, I did not edit my review to get some freebee’s from them. This is purely on helping other customer like me. I hope you understand my point here.——————-It is too early too talk about durability of this product. I have seen some customer reviews and they talk about 1 year warranty is misleading. The warranty is not good if only one ball is cracked in 2 weeks or some time. They ( vendors) are asking for 12 balls damage, if 3 or 5 out of 12 is damaged, they wont help you. So figure it out yourself. Correct me, please if I am wrong. Now, I played with some balls. Here is what I experienced. Some of the balls lost its shape. ( more compared to x -40 balls. Due to lost shape, there is significant wobble with such balls and you decide to toss the ball in garbage can. Everyone on the courts decision is same. Now due to the smaller holes on the ball ( comparing to x40 again), windy and beautiful sunny weather, it swings ( curves) so much that even experienced players find it difficult to handle the curves. Now that is what I think that, this curve is because of that smaller holes placed between normal holes. I may be wrong. some times inconsistent bounce is also observed, so you must watch the ball and be ready to handle the low bounce situations.ONE more thing, weather is not in 45f or lower, since we are in March now. So can not say more about balls are cracking in lower 40s temperatures. That is my major complaint about x40 balls. So can’t say anything about it until may be next year? I guess by next year we will have some improvements and new additions to the competition. If you like franklin x40. just stay with it. That is my last word till I find out more from my experience.

Selkirk Picklball Balls
These are probably the best PB balls for cooler weather. Iâve used other balls that crack when playing under 50 degrees. The Selkirk balls has a no crack guarantee which we will be putting to the test this winter. The playability is consistent when it comes to bounce and spin. It seems to deform, becoming more egg shaped, but still playable.

They pretty much last forever!
They play pretty much the same as the Franklin X-40’s. However, unlike the Franklins, they do not crack after a couple weeks use. They pretty much last until you need to discard them because eventually, they wear out and lost their bounce a bit.

Balls are good – especially in the cold. Warranty is kind of lame
I like the balls – especially how durable they are in the cold. The warranty terms are that you must break 4 balls (1/3 in a 12 pack) and then they have a $6 processing fee and you need to pay to ship them back. Just not worth the effort.

Great outdoor PBs.
I found the balls to work well in the wind and nice bounce on cold courts. Definitely well designed for outdoor play.

Great Bounce That Lasts
An all around quality product. Easy to see. Has great bounce. Last longer than most. I will definitely buy again but no need at least for a while.

The real live up to the hype
I run a large pickleball club and we have weekly events. We always use new balls for the events. Then, they are dispersed for use during social play. Well- we need to re-think our plan with the implementation of these as our official club ball. We used Core, Franklin, and Dura Fast 40 with our favorites being Dura until now. I bought these 12 to use on a personal trial and they play well. Ball control is excellent. Bounce is consistent. Speed is equivalent. And durability is superb. Much better than Dura. We live in a warm climate and the ball remains solid and doesnât get mushy like Franklins. Honestly, Selkirk is a brand I donât use usually but I really like these balls.

We are in Canada so they are not covered under warranty, having said that, we donât care, we are all using them, they are not lasting a year, but they are outlasting everything else, and you get lots of spin and power out of them,

Nunca se estrellan. Muy duraderas, buen contacto con la pala.

Completely disliked the product itâs not even 1% same as the picture really disappointed

Although advertised on Amazon.ca, the 1 year crack resistant warrantee is not applicable in Canada. In addiiton, all 4 balls in the package need to break so not much of a warantee anyhow. The balls play well until they go out of round. At a premium price, it’s not worth it.

Usually use Franklin X40’s, which break fairly easily in cooler weather. I bought a dozen of the Selkirk S1’s because their a single mold guarantees they won’t break. I have used 3 of the S1’s I purchased and all 3 went out of round during their first use making them unplayable. I will be writing Selkirk to share my experience and hopefully they will be able to help me out.
