Great books for practicing phonics
I purchased these books to help my daughter with her reading. For so long she has been encouraged to memorize sight words and less emphasis has been placed on phonics. These books have been a good tool for me to use to help her learn to sound out words.

Great Beginning Reader Books
This set of books is great for beginning readers. I’ve purchased several from other companies that were supposed to be for beginning readers but had lots of words in the story they couldn’t possibly read yet. The Laugh A Lot Phonics books only included words they should be able to read as beginners. Each book focused on a different sound which made it nice for learning and review. I also loved the fun colorful pictures and engaging stories young students can relate to. I will purchase more Laugh A Lot Phonics books.

The best decodable books!
Our daughter loves reading books from this series! All of the ‘leveled readers’ I used when teaching my son to read have been proven to be less effective and not following the current Science of Reading recommendations, so I looked everywhere for decodable books, as is the current recommendation. We have Bob Books, the Developing Decoders books, and the Now I’m Reading books, but the Laugh-a-Lot books are my daughter’s favorites. These stories are fun, with super cute, full color illustrations. I find my daughter requesting these books over the others we have. I wish that scholastic would make additional decodable books! The market seems to be still catching up with the Science of Reading recommendations. I highly recommend these.
