Great for ice and snow!
Versatile, lightweight, easy to use, great traction. I purchased this for a hike with snow and icy areas. I was very surprised on how light and useful these are. Some people doing the same hike were wearing snowshoes but I didn’t as I bought these crampons and I felt like I didn’t miss the snowshoes at all. I will definitely recommend and buy again.

WINTER WEATHER MUST HAVE
I have been considering purchasing a set of crampons for years but it became a necessity as the winter of 2022 turned our entire 40 acre farm into one gigantic ice skating rink. Several days of snow followed by 12 hours of rain and a plunge into a deep freeze made just getting the dog out for a walk a death defying endeavor. After doing some quick research I selected the crampons that appeared to provide the best combination of fit, function and value. When they arrived and were unpacked I was overall very impressed with the material and build quality. I wear aggressively soled work and duty boots and the XL option fits these boots very well. The bindings are made of heavy duty rubber and all metallic parts appear to be made of stainless steel. Never having used crampons before, didn’t know what to expect. I was extremely impressed with their ease of use and their incredible effectiveness on ice and frozen snow! I have used them to great success daily over several weeks with my work and duty boots and find they make me almost superhuman moving with ease in areas that just a few days earlier I couldn’t even stand up on before fitting these appliances to my boots. If you have to move around on ice or frozen snow don’t delay any longer, get a set of these on your shoes or boots and go out and have some fun defying the elements!

First time user
I headed up a known iced canyon for a hiking workout knowing full well I probably wouldn’t make it to the waterfall destination without spikes. I’d never even taken them outta the package, much less try them on. I brought the spikes along for more of an emergency compliment. The ascent was borderline dangerous with ice trail overhangs above the river below. I decided it would be prudent to try using the spikes on the way down. It took me all of several seconds to put these on over my size 13 composite toed Keen. These spikes allowed me to grip the ice in such a way I could nearly run down seemingly vertical walls. The grip underfoot was impressive. These Sportneer spikes appear to be a replica of a more popular and expensive brand. They work fantastic in hard snow and ice. They do not stick to rocks very well as you’d imagine. During descent after running out of ice and snow, I started gingerly on mud, roots, and rocks. I expected there would be damage to the spikes. I was surprised to find they looked just as new as the moment I put them on. They are stupid-proof, and seem like they would fit a wide range of shoes.

OMG – These are far Superior to what I just tossed out!
I bought a pair of cheaper ice cleats back in 2017 as these were the last pair available … those made walking unstable & wobbly especially in “dry” areas.I JUST (1/2 hr. ago) received my order of these Sportneer Crampons & immediately decided to check them out (because we had a freezing ice storm last weekend combined with 3/4″ of rain the following evening, so had plenty of hardened THICK ice with below freezing temps ever since. (I had slipped/fell but broke nothing thank goodness)Put these on my “hikers” and traipsed outside where I KNOW all the ice is glaze just under a newly fallen 1/2″ of snow. These are SOLID to walk on both dry & icy area, walked all over the thick, smooth ice without any, whatsoever, slipping! I was exceptionally impressed with these as I haul wood to the house, have a 360′ long driveway, is out with my dogs …. So glad I got these … Well worth the money I paid and feel much safer not to mention how stable walking is with these!!!

Used a pair on 2 occasions before biting the bullet. Wasn’t out on and not unstable when walking on flat surfaces in between areas where they are really needed is. Paved road crossing hiking trails.
