This climber was easy to assemble, lightweight, and easy to use. It doesn’t make any loud noises when using and can hold weight well. For reference I am 5’2″ 160lbs my husband is 6’2″ 255. Recommend.

Leans too much forward
I enjoyed the Relife Vertical Climber for several years until the metal connection of the foot pedal tore. Its electric monitor never worked and the machine was noisy but I didnât mind. I loved that it stood on a minimal angle that allowed me to exercise upright. This one and most recently made vertical climbers come with a shorter leaning leg causing a more pronounce tilting angle. Perhaps they were so afraid of lawsuits of people falling backwards during exercise, that they over did the forward tilt. One needs to be careful using any equipment but there was not a realistic risk of falling backwards on my Relief Climber. When I started using this one, I felt like I had to fight against leaning forward all the time during exercise. Even my feet started shifting forward during exercising making me reposition frequently. I just wanted to be able to do vertical climber exercises without unnecessary straining fighting balance or having to hunch forward.I thought of returning it but that would be a hassle and there are not many better options out there. So, I decided to disassemble my old climber and use the spare leaning leg and other parts despite not being a perfect match. Another thing about this new machine is that its left side was not flowing freely but was getting slowed by some rough friction. Trying different things, I was able to fix it by loosening the left silver rod to then tight it again into a more centered position. There was also too much wiggle room on the inner rollers which bolts were kind of loose. The electric monitor works but the casing width interferes with your leg rising so you need to open your legs a little to avoid banging the monitor casing. I also had to grease the silver rods a bit.After all my customizations, I am now happy with my machine thanks to Relife spare parts. It is also not as noisy as the Relife climber, lighter and almost as smooth. Other climbers, even expensive ones, seem to have their issues as well. I recommend you find them in a fitness store and test them for about 5 minutes or pay Amazon Prime membership and try only those with free returns.

not sure if this machine would work for beginners. It is hard to get use to the up and down motion. I have a hard time doing more than a minute at first. But what was most frustrating was the fact that the instructions to put together was so darn small to read. I actually needed a magnifying glass to read the instructions. Also disappointed that there was nothing to explain how to get started with using it to be able to help with proper use. Its going to take a lot of times or weeks to get a long workout each day.

This is a good climber, it’s structured better than the previous one I purchased, however, the cable wire snapped after 16 months. I ordered a replacement. I’m thinking this time I will oil the pulley every so often.Contacting the manufacturer for a replacement part was not exactly easy.I ordered the part from another source.

When I bought this climber I didnât realize that 99% of the reviews were for the stepper, so I feel I should add another review for it. I just received it today and put it together. Only used it once (Iâll do my best to post an update after further use).This is my honest review:Cons:a) the instructions are illegible. Had to take a pic with my phone so I can zoom in order to read ðb) the metal pieces go through some sort of friction that peeled off the black paint off of the rods that do the back and forthâ¦c) there are no levels or possibility to increase intensity.Pros;Itâs freaking awesome lol definitely buy it!Idc about the paint peeling off that much and in terms of intensity, I can add ankle weights or bands but I felt it was really intense without any add ons..Besides that, I think itâs worth the price.Oh and added bonus: if you hold the handles in the center and just move lower body, it feels as if youâre cycling.
