Filled with great insight and many AH HA moments!
I honestly thought this book would be more about loving a person with an addiction and I only thought to buy and read strictly in order help me say or do the right things as this person struggled to get better. I even laugh now, when I write this review, because this book taught me more about ME, how I love the people in my life, how I choose friends and relationships based on my own needs and the “label” I fit under. It isnt really about saying or doing the “right thing for them” it is about consciously doing the right thing for me, setting limits and opening and creating a healthy self in order to care and love. It was a great book. I had so many AH HA moments in it I had to stop, bookmark and really reflect on my own journey and choices. I have since reread twice, each time highlighting a different verse, quote or thought. It is one of the shorter self-help books but each word/sentence is thoughtful and insightful

Plain, simple, helpful
Such a useful book. This really is a wonderful option when you finish the 12 steps and how to be a partner and be in a relationship with others. So thankful that the major idea is personal growth first and for most.

Good stuff
I am familiar with Mr Larsen’s book “Stage 2 Recovery” and enjoyed it very much. This book didn’t disappoint either. I found myself taking notes in the margin & highlighting lots of stuff. Short but good read.

Great book
This book is full of insight and wisdom. It sheds light on the dysfunctional attitudes and behaviors that sabotage relationships and gives valuable advice for healthier ways of thinking and acting. I have read other books by this author, and have found them all to be very helpful.

Very good suggestions
I enjoyed reading this book with my boyfriend and we are practicing the suggestions to improve our relationship. So far it seems to help us know one another better.

Must read
I absolutely loved this book. It made me look at parts of our relationship that we haven’t really focused on. And I agree completely that it isn’t just for addicts.

Wonderful insights and guidance for couples in recovery who are …
Wonderful insights and guidance for couples in recovery who are trying to reconnect or strengthen their relationship. I wish I read it years ago when I finally quit drinking with the aid of a 12 step program. Now if only my wife, who is recovering from co-dependency in a sister program, would read it.

Don’t even think about not ordering this book!
Out of all of the books I have read on relationships, this book, although small, packs a big wollup! The title is a bit misleading, in that it doesn’t just apply to the love addict. This book is great for the new couple and the couple who has been together for years… or even a single person looking to get into a healthy relationship.I truly believe this book should be read by every person attempting this thing we like to call a relationship. You won’t be sorry you bought this book.

As an alcoholic, Earnie’s works have been at the core of my personal recovery. First introduced to his videos over 20 years ago, the impact was immediate and immense. His words were straightforward, to the point and delivered in easy to understand “no holds barred” language. His writings are presented in the same forthright manner and Stage II Relationships is a must have “working” handbook for anyone who is or has been affected directly or indirectly by issues relating to life-threatening dependencies.
