What a Refreshing Book!
I really enjoyed reading these snippets of life in the classroom! The author does such a great job describing the students, through their personalities & energy. His takeaways are humorous, sentimental, poignant, and refreshing. Oh, that students would have caring, listening, and fun teachers in their lives as they explore the world around themselves! I highly recommend reading this great little book! It would also make a wonderful gift!

A wonderful journey of kindness and a reminder: We are all in this together.
I happened upon Matt Eicheldinger on Instagram and his oral stories brought light and sometimes tears of joy to my eyes. I had to order his book called Sticky Notes and I’m glad that I did! I’m not a teacher, but I’m sure any teacher would love to read Matt’s stories of his time as a middle school teacher.In a time when there is such division and distrust, this book reminds us all that just maybe listening or observing can bring a new perspective to our lives. This book is filled with stories of kindness, of uplifting each other and of lessons learned from the most curious circumstances. Also a reminder to all of us to look and learn with an open heart and mind it will be your salvation.It is an easy read filled with the wisdom of youth and observations from someone caring enough to listen. You can read it in a day or savor it by starting your day with a joyful jolt of kindness, enough to carry you through your day. You will not be disappointed in this book and I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a reminder to find joy every day!

Love this book! ❤️ Pictures of your childhood in the stories
This book is my new favorite! If you want quick trip down memory lane, you can almost picture the kids you went to school with playing in each story. It contains great little lessons to read for anyone, young or old. Each provides a message that can make you smile or just make you stop and think. Something everyone should do from time to time. It makes you feel grateful and blessed and more importantly truly understand what Matt experiences as a teacher. We often hear of random stories like those he’s shared, but only if they go viral in most instances. This truly gives a great perspective and makes you realize that todays children really are no different then any other generation. I’m purchasing additional copies to give to a few relatives who are teachers…. just because. Plus, it may be a great tool for them since each story takes merely minutes to read. A lot of great things to take away from each message.

True teacher’s view
I truly enjoyed all the stories and situations told in this easy to read book. I have 6 generations of educators in my family. The author’s insight into his kids is remarkable! Some stories are funny and some heartbreaking. All are insightful. I highly recommend!

I want to emphasise I’m giving this book the very highest of five stars! It’s a pocket of joy that I know I’ll go back to again and again (just like I do with Matt’s stories on instagram). I wish more people saw the world like Matt does, taking note of the importance of everyday moments and connections – that’s where the magic is. I actually bought a second copy for my friend, who is a teacher herself, as I know it will strike a chord.If you’re in need of a little injection of hope (and let’s face it, who isn’t these days?) I highly recommend Sticky Notes. The short story format makes it easy to pick up and put down, reading a story at a time for a little mood boost if you’re in need of it! Although, like me, first time around you’ll probably binge it in one go…

I absolutely love this book. Matt has done something most of us wish we would have, told “stories” about lessons in life, through real occurrences. As a teacher and a mother it really was emotional to read these snippets of life. It’s a must read for anyone !
